response can easily go up to 80's, i'd get him 83
otherwise, the stats are really spot on, congrats ;)

I'd suggest minus 1 to acceleration, plus 2 to his top speed and plus 2 to his dribble speed.

He was also skillful to play as a Right Back.
In FC Porto the first time he played was a Right Back.

Wasn't he better than this? I'm just saying, he looks generally underrated.

Nice post da_ni, and I definitely agree with the DS - DA swap.
Though he wasn't exactly an 'artist' on the ball, his speed combined with his control while speeding made him serious menace everytime he ran at defenders. He should be near orange on that particular stat. I'd sugest an 88 for DS.

LPS can be a 85 easily.

As for his speed, IMO both his values for TS and ACC could both see a raise. Nani has TS 87 / ACC 89, so I'd rate Sérgio's TS 1 point higher and put them on par in terms of ACC. Sérgio in his prime was indeed a bit faster and as explosive as Nani IMHO.

And finally about his TEC, I'm pretty sure he was above Moutinho. He would often trap long or tense passes quite well. I'd put him just 1 point below Modric on that one (TEC 86).

I also agree with swapping DA and DS and LPA with LPS. He was a good crosser thanks to the ease with which he got space along the sidelines but he crossed like he was attempting a shot, with power and no swerve.
I'm not so sure about BB, it could go up a point or two but he wasn't that strong, you guys may have that impression because of his attitude. Same for shot power, it could go up but just by a point or two, he had a strong shot yes, or better, he liked to shoot with power, but personally i wouldn't go over 85.

Disagree with raising speed to the numbers suggested by Luisão, i'd rather raise DS. And he was never remotely close to Modric in terms of technique, his technique was quite modest especially when compared inside the NT to Rui Costa, Figo and João Pinto. Moutinho is always difficult to use as comparison, he does everything right but he rarely does anything extraordinary.

You're probably ritght about his speed stats. I may have pushed it a little. But I couldn't disagree more when you say that his TEC was modest. It wasn't, by any means. I wouldn't compare him to JVP because I always thought Classic JVP is a bit underrated in terms of technique... but from what I remember of the inf-form Sérgio Conceição, he'd fully deserve something around 86 for TEC. He could trap with relative ease almost any ball passed to him, and that's one of the reasons why he was a so effective winger.

I can guarantee you Modric is way better than Conceição in his first touch. Simão, Nani, Di Maria are all better imo. The maximum i'd give him would be 84 like Capel, Pedro Leon or Mark Gonzalez.

Hmm, I really dunno man... either way his current value seems too damn modest for him. I remember him having better technique than that surely.

In my opinion, to recreate Conceicao's play you would have just to tweak some stats:

TEC: 82 to 84 - He did possess a good, even if not outstanding, first touch. Clearly deserving the update.
ACC: 86 to 88 - Monstrous quick bursts he used to did. He could reach high speed but was clearly on the early stage of the run he gained advantage. And this was crucial to his game, putting him on a very high class of player that was that Lazio serie A winner.

BB: 79 to 83 - You see, here is where he deserves really more. He was strong, very strong for a midget. And on his style of play, he didn't evade tackles or messing around (button X). Alas, his typical move was to gain, with accelaration, the space and when doing that it was natural to have a shoulder vs shoulder clash (a la maradona way, the clash, not the technique) which he never quit and endured because he was really fit and driven. And since that strong driven mentality was highlighted on his attacking dribbles and not particulary on the defence timing, I believe it should be portrayed on the BB parameter rather than the MEN one.
I am CLASSICAL (but I can't recover my account - don't delete Rijkaard, Ruggeri, Littbarski or any of the 5 Violins, you bastards!)
