- Forever remembered for wanting to 'win the cup for 'Tottingham', Ossie Ardiles did just that in an amazing chapter of the Club's history.
Keith Burkinshaw completed the coup for Ardiles and compatriot Ricky Villa after the pair, particularly Ardiles, starred in Argentina's World Cup triumph in 1978.
A Superbly skillful player, Ardiles used to play football in the streets as a youngster and was given the nickname "Piton" (python) by his brother because of his snake-like dribbling skills. He was also very determined for such a slight figure which helped him settle well in the English game. Ardiles immediately forged a dream team in midfield with Glenn Hoddle as Spurs won two FA Cups and the UEFA Cup in 1984.
