i found a curious thing: lot of Cagliari defenders are left footed :) Agostini, Bianco, Lopez, Magliocchetti and him :D

That's tough, I found him to be really weak for his height. Also, for a player getting really his 1st playing time I feel he needs to show more than 1 good response play to really deserve more than an average rating for an inexperienced youngster. We will watch him more hopefully ;)

Notes vs Palermo:
CB 13 Astori - awful LF LP weak and right to attacker/ sloppy tackle on budan/LF LP to Canini..didn't mess it up/awful defensive angle on Budan goal/

Notes vs Milan:
CB 13 Astori - he was a joke on milan's goal, didn't track Borriello's run and Lopez had to covering, astori was slow to react to it, then was caught in no mans land when borrielo passed it, then he stumbled and fell down while they were scoring/agg after a ball and left out of position and behind the play/out of position again/he is a terrible defender/caught out of position and very slow to respond/terrible spass out of def created a counter/terrible give away in def on an attempt touch LP/pass went right through his legs, and then he slide tackled the guy in the box giving a pk/horrible res 75-76/Def isn't his worst quality/terrible LP forward killing possession/

I really can't improve any of these stats. In two matches he was pretty bad. I'm more tempted to lower things.

Position: CB*, SB(optional if at all)

Defence: 76(def might be better than res...but not better than 76)
Balance: 81 (82 like ron suggested wouldn't be out of order)
Stamina: 80 (82 he usually plays the full 90)
Response: 76 (76 MAX his response looked terrible in both matches)
Dribble Accuracy: 65 (69 this area he isn't bad actually looks a bit comfortable on the ball)
Long Pass Accuracy: 69(65 the worst long passing I have ever seen in the Serie A)
Long Pass Speed: 70 (67 often couldn't get it over the head of the attacker, when he kicked it deep it was more like a punt)

BTW in the Napoli match he wasn't playing, and they said, "this Milan youth is being discussed to return to Milan, and is a good young prospect." I haven't seen it ;)

Held is own vs Vucinic, Baptista and then Toni. Considering his weight I think BB could safely sit at 84 but I feel he may be stronger. Defence and response looks afwul  Doesn't look to aware but positioning is decent enough. Maybe a slight bump for each, def @ 78 and then response @ 77. Just a thought.

Those were my notes from the previous 2 games. I haven't watched the Roma match yet, but I saw the highlight of one of the goals, and it was his positioning error that allowed the goal. I think he is pretty awful. I know people talk about him as a top prospect, but I think he has ways to go.

Also if he is at 78def/77res then how high do we put the Bari youngsters who are playing AWESOME?!

you mean inter youngsters ;) Not that your stats for them a wrong but they are conservative. They could in fact be a tad better (or tad worse but just lucky :? )

Updated:
Astor: Def: 78(+2)/BB:83(+1)/Sta:84(+2)/Res:77(+1)/SPA: 68(+3)/SPS:69(+3)/FK:60(+3)/Curl:58(+3)/Tech:69(+1)/Ment:77(+1)/TW:76(+2)

Probably a bit generous...but I have to imagine he isn't always as awful as he has looked when I see him.

today another bad mistake was leading Maccarone into open space towards the goal. don't know why this guy is always a starter for allegri. probably suffers lack of concetration or pressure of the games.

I reckon defence @ 82 and man-marking*

And then:

Response @ 78-79
SPA @ 73
SPS @ 72-73
Tech @ 71-72
Mentality @ 79
TW @ 77

I'm not following Cagliari but he surely needs to be tweaked. He's a sort of Ranocchia stepbrother, but not inflated by the medias. Glad to see you back ron ;)

This guy is on the NT right? Is he among the best Italian defenders?
