Rami SHAABAN

Postby Tom » 2008 Dec 13, 22:40

Anyone remember this guy? In August 2002 he earned a move to Arsenal. He was limited to five appearances for Arsenal over two years and his time there was plagued by injuries. On the 12 of February Shaaban sined a five-year contract with Swedish based team Hammarby IF. He was called up to the Sweden squad for the 2006 World Cup, although he did not have an international cap to his name. He made his debut in the warm up game with Finland as a substitute, coming on for 45 minutes and keeping a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. On June 10, 2006, he played for the Swedish team in the 2006 FIFA World Cup against Trinidad and Tobago. He played four games for Sweden in the Euro 2008 Qualifying stage, which he kept a vital clean sheet against Spain. In 2007 Rami was named as the 6th must have Goalkeeper in the FourFourTwo's 100 players your club should sign. In the supplement he was recommended to be signed by a club in The English Championship.
