I follow Gammergq point of view.

I'd lower his defence, he wasn't this defensively secure and was similar to Gatusso in this aspect, 77 seems fine for defence. SPS looks too high as well, he didn't get that much pace on his passes and often preferred to play it simple, it could go down 4/5 points.

everything suggested seems good
i wouldn't add sliding though. it was discussed in the old thread that the star would eliminate some of his deadly 'miss timed' challenges for which he became slightly infamous for

"slightly" infamous for it?

About passing, he really didn't tried "difficult passes" but, at the time, Man Utd played a style of football based in a lot of short passes and "mary go round" effect in the midfield which required from the players an immense speed of thinking and of action in terms of passing.

Roy Keane was the cornerstone of this tactic (even at the time, Scholes was not that important despite being... a much better passer) and even if he really did most of the times short simple passes, he did pass the ball very quick

This to say that I agree with the lowering in short pass accuracy but I think that short pass speed, if decreased, shouldn't go in the same proportion as the decrease in accuracy

Merged Jezza's 92-94 Keane ;)

I'm not sure that he was that defensively secure at that age. Id even bring Attack/defence closer he was even more box-box in the early years.
Id say he was a touch faster over distances as well. I'll add some cards in a minute 8-)

cheers brez ;)

and yeah, you're probably right
i did mull over the speed and defence stats more than the others and took a long look at the ladders (current ones because I dont trust the classic ones as much  ) What figures you got in mind?

oh, and i think the 98-99 keane should be extended to accomodate the following season (so 1998-2000) where on a personal level at least, he was arguably better that in the treble season.

EDIT: he won the player of the year award in 99-00 ;)

Technique is too high on both sets, he shouldn't be yellow.

Oh, right, a joke, brilliant.. :)

At first I thought you were refering to Keano and saying somehow that his slight build would effect the figure given for technique

Brezza already did nice format update and gave him cards. I've just added Additional Links, Videos, Growth type and Attack/Defence Awareness Card.

Besides that I've extended his Era from 1998-1999 to 1998-2000 (based on jez's suggestion). I've also changed height and weight from 178 cm and 74 kg to 180 cm and 77 kg. Sources for that can be found in Additional Links (last 2 links are the sources).

@jez

I suggest you to change young Keane's height and weight, when you update him (but give him smaller number for weight (74-75 kg).
