Surely deserving of a scoring star? He was the highest scoring defender last season and already has 3 goals this season. Also not as talented defensively as Jagielka or Yobo.

why not both stars then? If he scores a lot due to his good positioning?

I would go for *Positioning because scoring will increase his shooting ability when it is really his "being in the right place at the right time" that makes him score.

I hate to break it to you all, I really do, but the Positioning star has no effect on a defender whatsoever. You could however give him a higher Attack value, but 68 is pretty much at the peak of the value you should give for a defender. And considering that he also has one of the highest Aggression values, I believe he's been rated rather well here.

Again, it has no effect on defenders. It's like the Long Throw star, it doesn't affect the length of a keeper's throw no matter how much you want it to.

In PES there's no stat for a defender that valuates their ability to score frequently, and it's a shame because Lescott is one of those guys (My figures might be wrong, but I believe he got over 10 goals last season in all competitions :? ). All you can do is use the Formations & Tactics menu to make sure he goes up for corners, and I'm sure that with his Header, Jump, Agility and Shot Technique values, you should be able to get him to score a fair bit.

Agression needs to be improved. Lescott gets forward a lot to get involved in attacks and puts in a lot of crosses from the left. I feel he warrants about 80 same as Steven Warnock.... thoughts?

It'd only make sense if you changed his registered position to SB, but consider the other effects of the Aggression stat for a central defender. It's going to draw him out of his position a lot and it'll make it far more difficult for him to get back into defensive positions and will make him get caught out quite often by the oncoming opposition striker.

He joins the attacks often, you're right, but this can be done at the Formation & Tactics section. Remember, a player's behaviour on PES is not wholly determined by stats alone.

Registered position is the position where a guy ORIGINALLY played.. all the others are secondary positions and everyone knows Lescott is truly and originally a CB.

On that basis, Chris Sutton should have been registered as a CB too, as he started off his career there, before playing up front. That's a load of rubbish.

If he's starting to play their regularly this season, then why not change the registered position to SB?

yeah and then you can change it back to Cb if he starts playing there. WHat a load of bollocks that is. Lescott is shit at centre half that is why he does not get played there now. He may have been a CB for Wolves but only once or twice for everton. He is a SIDEBACK now so change it.

nah i don't agree with u here.. a player should have registered that position where he has played the last 2-3 seasons.. otherwise Drogba should have SB as a reg position and Van Buyten CF etc.. -.-

Wow, you guys are so harsh when a foreign person accidentally uses the wrong word. From his post, it is quite apparant that he didn't mean "originally" but that he meant "consistently"

Is his defensive ability really good enough to warrant 84? With the current stats he is probably a better CB then Jagielka and Yobo, is this correct?
