Hello there, good post and good stats.

But in my opinion the LPS and the SP stats need a considerable raise. His shot was maybe at a 89 or 90 level of strenght for shure, as i recall from his Boavista and Benfica days. When they hit the grass near the goalkeeper, they were almost unstoppable. What a tremendous shooter.
Also, regarding LPS, i suggest a value around 87-88.

I remember this guy quite well... he had a hell of a cannon and he wasn't that weak fo his size i think. He could jump well too. My sugestions:

Defence: 50 - he would help defending, he was a fighter.
Balance: 76 - from what i remember he wasn't that weak, but i may be wrong about this.
Stamina: 85 - he had a good engine.
Acceleration: 83 - quite fast too.
Agility: 85 - and agile

Shot Accuracy: 78
Shot Power: 92 - the thing he was best known for, he really smacked them and he could take shots with the ball in midair or just boucing, he always shot it hard. Too hard too many times, we would send some flying into space and though he hit some in the corner i don't think he ever went for much placement.
Shot Technique: 83

Free Kick : type 8
Curling: 82

Technique: 86 - i don't remember him being 90 good with the ball.

here's a FK from him, Preud'Homme is the keeper (1st goal).

A deflected rocket ends on the back of the net (3rd goal):

Ur right Da_ni, technique could come down to 86~87. But don't u think 85 is too low for Beluschi too, maybe 1 point more would be fair?

Nice job man. Are you also planning on making Marco Etcheverry?
I have returned to the Classics section after a longer break. I am currently working on a list of Danish players from the 90s.

Shot power must be higher. His shots were much, much harder. Sure harder than Bonhof or Amokachi. I remember well game between his Boavista and
B.Dortmund in CL when he almost "killed" Jens Lehmann with his rockets.German commentator was so fascinated about his thunderous SP.

Erwin Sanchez... i'm just glad to remember this player again, one of the best to ever play for Boavista.

For sure!! In my classic Boavista, i have selected 3 players for the AM position, and each of them would make the dreams of many top Portuguese clubs nowadays come true: Sanchez, Timofte, and Joao Alves!

Some things i think should change: His FK, he was good, but he wasn't THIS good... FKA at 85/86 would be more than enough... Cubillas has 87, Deco and Simão have 86, Rui Costa and A. Oliveira have 85... I don't think Sanchez was much better than any of this guys...
Also his technique, he didn't had this classy first touch... 85/86 would suit him better... Simão, Frasco, João V. Pinto, Carlos Manuel, all have 86, Sanchez wasn't better than them...

Uau Timofte another name i probably would never remember again if you hadn't mentioned it. I agree Sanchez wasn't a guy with a great first touch, at least i don't remember him for that, i remember him for his powerful shots and the goal he scored against Benfica in that famous 92/93 cup game.

Ok, added to the DB and made the update. Past set had the general idea but some numbers were high/low. I've been watching the most I could about this guy and I have to say he didn't impress me at all at first but then when I paid more attention and watched closer his movements I can understand why he's rated so high. The guy was good, really good player...it's the kind of player I don't like that much but I understand the point of having him and why he's so praised.

After watching him I can say I find him VERY similar to Pablo Aimar and in other way Mago Valdivia. In terms of body movements, agility, DA and going forward, being direct he's really similar to Valencia's Aimar. But the fact of his great mentality, the way he tried to (like vinnie said once) show he's good every time he loses the ball and the aim of getting it as fast as he can to show his ability and dribble is very similar to the Chilean.

What do you get from that styles? A very very complete and good player.

I'll make a long post explaining well all 90's Bolivia team I've been working but I have to say Erwin Sánchez was the exact player Bolivia needed...specially considering the way Azkargorta built the team...he chosed really well the players to play together...at least in the midfield. It was the perfect mix of elegance, dynamism and technique. Probably lacked work rate and goal but still Erwin, Baldivieso and Melgar was just a joy to watch together, such quality players in there. He played very well some games, even the final match vs Brazil in 1997, probably he was the 1 or 2 players who had a good WC and was at the level such important tournament demands, that's why I respect him, his mental strenght was great. I was amazed about his going forward attitude and how quickly he could avoid marking using his body and speed, aggressive as hell. Sometimes he lacked the good final decision to exploit even better his abilities, he doesn't need more than 79 tbh...

I leave in here the past set:
