Young talented technically skilled midfielder. Gertjan Verbeek gave him number 8 at the start of this season and doesnt hesitate to play him either on the central or the attacking midfield position. Adam has a good dribble, decent acceleration, very good vision for such a young guys and is technically good in terms of passing, shooting and his first touch. Now Martens is injured he will get even more play time in the Eredivisie and Europa League.

Let's start with his technical stats, both BC and DA haven't looked anything higher than 84 to me yet...
ATT is also barely greens at the moment, could be a form issue, but it looks no higher than 74 to me atm...
I also think his MENT should be among the lowest in the Eredivisie, i'm looking at 65-ish, he's just terrible under pressure, completely disappears and starts doing everything wrong...

Well he isnt performing very well indeed, but I cant imagine he lost his skill. He just lost his 'spark' I guess. I would agree with lowering his MENT and form, but DA and TECH..meh..not yet I guess.

Roy i think you should be more patient with players stats. Adam Maher is a young player, who plays at a bigger club now, he needs time to adapt. Decreasing BC and DA would be foolish, because Maher can gain his form back and even can sit higher regarding those stats. If he plays like this for 2 months or so, then we can start discussing imho.

This season he is quite impressive. He doenst dribble as much anymore and he delivers a lot of key passes and creates a lot of chances (along with Toornstra, Klaassen, Sinkgraven he is among the best in the Eredivisie) and managed to score 6 goals already. When he plays he is definitely the playmaker and creative passer in the PSV team.

it looks like Maher is recapturing his old form wich he showed in Alkmaar. Definitely one to watch, Maher could find himself back in the national team before long..

He has rounded into a more dynamic central mid than skill based offensive mid, but still drifts out wide when space is available to whip in a cross. His style is different with notably his dribbling being largely absent from his game anymore. He rarely uses it, although he is good when he does. Probably could get toned down to 80 DA totally fine and same with agility. His long passing is quite nice and I would put LPA on par with his SPA at 81. His defensive work has improved and he can sit around 62 as he is winning more balls and just focusing on those duties more now. Would bump his RES to 75 since he manages nice interceptions and reactions to loose balls as well. One aspect he is greatly improved upon is heading as he wins several good duels a game and can be around 74 with 76 JUM.

So he is still a really good dribbler and capable of it, but he is far less reliant on dribbling for the way he plays now. I was testing it out and toning that down was the best way to have him doing those dribbles less, but I probably was a bit harsh. I’m trying to find the best way to balance it. It’s something he will show maybe once a game type and the rest is just average. How would you recommend replicating that?
