How about S07 – Man Marking card for him? He stopped Eto'o, Kuijt,(as LSB) ,and Elia (as RSB) so well.

You can add Theo Walcott (if he missed the WC, it's partly beacuse of Nagatomo who completely negated him) Glen Johnson, Park Ji-Sung (who still managed to grab a goal but only when Nagatomo was off him) to the list.

Could be the next Japanese player to move overseas as Mallorca and several Serie A/Bundesliga teams are interested in him before even the start of WC. His stamina is nearly endless : In the last minutes of the friendly Vs Korea he looked like he still could go for another 90' right after that one.

He can play equally well at the right side. Uchida might be a good player but there is no room for comparison between him and Nagatomo.

I'll update him (as well as Abe, Tulio, Nakazawa, Konno, Komano) as soon I have some time available. They all need consequent/minor updates (depending on the player) since they never truly had proper stats at first place.

Yuto does so well against world class fast players due to his sharp reactions, anticipation, agility and pace.

well, i noticed that he does a LOT of runs, really impressive, i wouldn't mind an 87-88 in STA and a 7 in Condition .

I also think his Stamina could be some points higher, in the last games I saw him he was running his side up and down.
And I got the impression he is faster than the values in the first post, in the match against the Netherlands he could keep up the speed with Elia being really fast. Here I suggest some more points as well.

Well, I gave him this long term planned update.

Image

Reduced Rommedahl (who defeated Cameroon all by himself) to defend and totally neutralized him.

He is spectacularly tenacious, it's very very hard to get rid of him during 1 Vs 1 situations, he averages 14 - 15 kilometers of crossed distance per game in J-league, he is fast and agile, surprisingly strong as well, he frequently get the best over stronger, taller and heavier opponents. He can produce a lot more in attack than what he showed already but he is more handy in defense.

He reminds me of Philip Lahm.

AS Roma made an offer to acquire him, FC Tokyo wants 2 - 3 million Euros but they're willing to accept a loan transfer + definitive transfer option.

He is affordable but not too sure about Serie A due to the foreigners limit introduced very recently. (Only 1 non-European per season).

I would agree with *side already, he is always drifting wide, I need to see him more for the others, but he has a nice burst

Hard worker, really. Also we can increase his TS/ACC. How about 85 TS ? i agree with 88 ACC.

i was just taking a look at the topic and wanna make a comment similar to adieet. he's really hard working.
i think we could put his Mentality higher in a virtual SB ladder.

Nice observation dude, he started learning the language before even arriving as he knew he would land in Serie A. He was speaking in a relatively decent Italian during his first press conference.

Wouldn't a mind a raise in mentality. As for his pace, I am not sure about Rfuna's suggestions, we can raise his TS to a 85 for a start.

I am bit skeptical about the Side star. Yeah, he sticks to the wings most of the time, but sometimes, he moves to a more central position looking for a shooting opportunity for example. Image

Since he is a double footed guy, he can play on either sides without noticeable difficulty.

Only Nagatomo and Antonioli have played 90 minuites X all 14 league matches of this season for Cesena. But, Antonioli is GK. It's so surprising.

Maybe team work should be decreased by 1 or even 2 points don't you think?? He can be pretty "selfish" sometimes, hhes has sometimes better option like to pass but he doesn't...

i do agree partially with sam250. sometimes he doesn't pick the 'optimal' choice..........Milan is on him.....and italian site Tuttomercatoweb.com rumored a possibly pressing of Barça on the player..
