Elano as CM.... impossible imo. So far Rijkaard used 2 schemes. One of them is 4-2-1-3. 2 dms, am, rwf, lwf, cf and 4-4-1-1. dm, cm , rm, lm, am/ss, cf.

If he's willing to use Dos Santos, Jo, Arda/Elano and Keita at the same time gs will concede at least 3 goals per game. So he has to choose max 3 among Keita, Jo, Dos Santos, Arda and Elano. I personally assume that Dos Santos will be used as a LWF-SS. Jo lone CF, Keita as RM and Arda/Caner as LM. I really dunno what he's gonna do with Elano. we'll see what "Reverend" Frank Rijkaard gonna do.

Rijkaard would use rotation and dont forget baros and kewell come back from injury and its even harder

there are two types of managers; 1- the managers who try to use the squad and prepare the tactics which is the most apprpriate for the squad, and 2- managers who have a certain system on minds, these managers already have the system and they try to find players who can adopt.
in this case rijkaard is one of the members of the second group. he is trying to achieve what he had done in barcelona in 2005-2006. let's have a close look and compare;
