He gave a showcase of his technique during the entire game vs Cyprus. The highlight ofcourse was his one touch dribble and finish, great execution

Sad to see him struggling so much at Marseille, seems like his physique let him down. At his best he looks like an amazing striker, a solid target man and I've seen some great trapping from him as well.
Everyone knew it was impossible. Then came along a fool who didn't know it, and he did it.

Mitroglou isn't a player to adjust quickly, has always been peculiar in terms of mentality. Being a deadline signing wasn't ideal for him.

Regardless though , there is an issue with him that would make him struggle in a set up different than Olympiakos or Benfica, two dominant teams in their respective leagues that can afford to just expect goals from their leading attacker. That is, despite some evidence to the contrary, he's not a versalite modern attacker in any capacity. He can drop deep for 1-2s, has the technical ability to hold on to the ball and stall and the mind to draw defenders but he doesn't function as a target man. He has size but actually isn't a striker that actively makes use of his stength for ball retention or to play with his back on goal. These skills are there to an extend but don't define him, his lack of speed also limits him ofcourse.

Don't get me wrong i like Mitroglou a lot, but his standout attributes are his attacking intelligence, his finsihing and to a lesser extend his Tech and Heading. And these are sharpened to the degree that he can make a prolific goalscorer for Marseille but his tactical capacity is limited and that instantly sets him back in a team/league with various more demands of their top players.

P. S. He's currently a little weaker than this, he's not quite as bulky as he used to be and i think that's been the case for his time at Benfica as well. He's more like an 84, also considering his application of the ability.

When was his Form raised to this extent?
He was usually rated with Form around 3 or 4 in PSD, no matter how great his goal per match ratio were in some of his previous seasons.

The update was needed, such a bad add to the team that guy.
They have eyes but cannot see; they have ears, but cannot hear; they have tongues, but cannot speak. They are like cattle.

He is probably mid-high 60s TS/DS atm, lower BB as i have mentioned. As far as i know he's been form 3 in all but 3 seasons throughout his career ( his one season at Atromitos and i assume his career resurgence at Benfica ). Knowing that i find it odd that form was left intact and Att was decreased. He is an established 80s Att, that he has been throughout years of inconsistency in different leagues and the NT but always giving his responsible share of goals and points to his teams. A decrease is fine but not to this extent.

There are 8 available games of him this season here https://footballia.net/players/konstant ... -mitroglou . I can watch them and give him a proper update in due time .

* The response to this post better not be another update .
