i thought that when he scored those 5 goals in ten minutes, people would be asking for upgrades or losing his mind about that. I don't really watch bayern munich too much, and i don't know if lewandowski is a regular starter or not, but i believe it's needed more than one game when he enters and plays a great game as a sub. Now if there are enough proof that shows that when he came as a sub he plays better, then i have nothing to say.

I believe he had super sub for his first season in Borrussia, in which the majority of matches (especially in first part of the season) he was starting on the bench. And he performed very well as a sub, scored quite a few goals spending less than 30 min on the pitch. Super sub was dropped later due to the simple fact he established himself as a no1 attacker in the team. Maybe we shouldn't delete this card just because a player becomes a starter? A thought to consider in future statsmaking.

He is, but he had a minor injury, didn't play previous match so Pep didn't want to exploit him too much yet.

You are totally right, finaly someone who said that. When player becomes 1st team regular, there is no point why he would lose his super sub ability.Fully agree with you.

He miss a lot of 1-1 at least in Polish National Team. Use to much power over precision.

meh, diego scored 27 goals 2 years ago, and 20 last year. Lewandowski. 17 last year 20 the year before. He was doing insanely good the year or two before that, and you would expect him to really explode at bayern, but he really didn't last year... he was a great player.. but he just wasn't banging in the goals like you'd expect. Comparing the two and claiming one is massivel over-rated is really short sighted when they've both had pretty similar records over the last two years.
This year looks more like you would expect from Lewa though and maybe he can start having the sort of insane scoring records you'd imagine a bayern striker to have... it's still very early into the season though.

I dont like such stats comparision. Why dont you compare 3,4 last seasons ? Maybe becouse Costa had 10 goals per season and Robert 24 and 22 in Bundesliga. Okey maybe "massively" is to strong word but for sure Lewandowski had much higher ATT and MENT then Diego (from those stats sugessted by Ramindbroken). Problem of Robert is accuracy, he had so many very good situation durning game and can waste most of them so easly, shooting straight into keeper. Other thing is that Bayern had new wings. No more selfish Robben and look how good record had Robert this season. Had wingers who play for striker, this is big diffirence to previous season.

Because that comparison doesn't make sense since they played very differnt roles to each other. Why would you compare a lone striker, to an ss playing of a leading striker? You wouldn't compare lewandowski when he was playing as an AMF to Milito. Lewandowskis been established as a leading striker for years, Costa hasn't. Costa played support to Falcao, it wasn't until Falcao left that Costa got his chance as a leading striker. Hes only been in that role since then and his records since the change to a leading role are extremely good.

At least you should use non-penalty-goals per 90 minutes if you even want to do that comparison.

It has no relevance, as it's not like I said "lewandowski is better than x cause he scored x more than costa". All I've said is that they have pretty similar records, penalties does not change that fact. Also, it's impossible to find stuff like that, I would love to have access to that sort of info, but nowhere I know lists panalties in goals scored per season.

Yep but still I'd wait with any changes to at least December. The set is represents him very well as it is right now. Also I have strange feeling that after Robbens recovery his score record might drop to what we've been used to.
