he's not fast enough to chase down truely quick players. 82 tops but this will depend on how he'll do in the EPL. Disagree about yellow DA, he is excellent with the ball at his feet but not a true dribbler. He reminds me of Lucio there, but more elegant with his 1st touch.

Pretty decent I'd say. Nothing special to me defensivly, but obviously quite good technically. I was expecting him to be much more of a passer than he is.. seems a good passer, but does nothing with it really. He is very awkward and that seems to be a big problem for him.. also affects his strenght which is a lot worse than you'd expect. I'd say hes pretty easily in mid 60's for agility.

could you explain what you mean by "akward" and why his agility should be so low in your opinion? At Steaua he used to make lots of runs and his passing is Midfielder quality. Technically I'd even rate him higher than Chivu or Stefan Radu. Generally there are few defenders who have such a safe handling. Regarding strength I totally agree and 82 BB is totally the most i'd give him. He's someone who can take the ball away from any forward but he does it with finesse. Not much a physical defender but very precise when he intervenes

Right now he is a disaster waiting to happen. Spends too long dwelling on the ball, being caught out consistently for pace, drifting into wrong position at set pieces, ball watching. The spurs fans holding their breath every time he is on the ball is audible.

As the commentator said " you do wonder what he can do because he can't tackle, he can't head, he has no pace...".

The stat which concerns me the most is TW. It's arguably his main drawback, even worse than TS or his aerial display.
As tuco55 implied, he isn't reliable at all in his defensive covering moves and misunderstands the rest of his D-Line.
TW could see a considerable downgrade, ain't worth greens IMO.

For the sake of fairness it has to be said that Vlad was superb against United. Although there are still question marks about the attributes I mentioned above what does stand out is his ability to pinch the ball off a players toes.

His short passing in his own box is very bad for the health though.

He was vital for Steaua and captained the romanian NT and still i agree with your concerns about TW. The same can be said about his aerial ability or physical prowess in general. In a one vs one he's very tough to beat because of his sharp interventions and the fact that he's not a rock you can easily run circles around. There's no doubt about the fact that his style is very eccentric for a CB but that's tough to replicate with stats. He likes to opt for dangerous manouvres but he usually pulls them off quite well. He likes to play with the fire it seems and according to the romanian media reports he seems to be along the players with the best passing rate.
