To be honest, it's a phase he's in. Not really something structural in my eyes for the time to come. Or at least, I hope so.

Nah those stats are way too much...

What I do want to point out is perhaps a slight raise in header by 1 or 2 points.

Yes, heading raise would be fair. But jump shouldnt be raised. For example, the goals he scored yesterday he didnt even jump. He just used his bodybalance and heading ability. But Agree with Macmattie, raise his header by one or two points.

I think some of these stats are a bit too enthousiast. I would agree on a little raise in DS though. When he gets going with the ball on his feet, he is pretty quick! AGI up to 74/75 wouldnt harm him either I guess.

He was incredibly good. I guess the followers of the Dutch league could work on a definite "goodbye-Ajax"-Vertonghen set. Lately he isnt long passing so much anymore, now he prefers to run at his opponents and deliver the ball to the striker himself, or score the goal himself. Had some impressive runs and good shots yesterday.

I've been very impressed by him this year. He's turned into a quality CB and he's definitely not done growing. Joining Spurs would be a good move.

To be honest I really disagree on his JUMP and AGI ratings. Also I prefer how the DA/DS/TS/ACC is rated in the first post.

I guess in the first post set his LPS and LPA could come down a little though.

Tbh i like the first post better. Altough i think he never had this kind of mentality. Imo 81 at highest. Regarding LPA/LPS i would go with LPA: 81, LPS 84

Ajax champions, and Vertonghen was the key player in this title. For me, his stats are totally underestimated. He scores a lot, he's strong, he's one of the faster defender i've never seen... So, I vote for that !

I agree, I've been arguing higher DEF for a long while. I do have a set for him but I guess it's best to see him play for Spurs first.

Well this is what I'm using. Again not saying it should be moved to the first post. Used to have some doubts about him a few years ago but I rate him now, I can see him growing into a fantastic defender. I do think he'll need some time to adjust, it's a big step. Unless he pulls of a Vermaelen.

LPA is probably too high for PSD so I'm fine with the current value. DS is arguably too high (for some) as well but when he goes on those rushes from the back, he shows good pace on the ball despite not being particularly fast so for me it's fine. Current value isn't a bad for him either.

@ Mr. Evans, the set isnt bad. I really like the MENT to 80. Jan doesnt deserve 83 with the new standards. But DEF 84 is just...crazy in my eyes. Vertonghen doesnt deserve such number, and i predict he never will. He wont pull off 'a Vermaelen' because even at Ajax it was clear to see that Vermaelen was far more a 'real' defender. Tackling wise, posistioning wise, far more AGG in the sentence in the 1-on-1 defending, aerial ability ( i know this is all fixed, i was just making a point). BTW im looking at Vermaelen set right now, and if Thomas is on 80 with MENT Jantje should be lower imo, maybe 79.
