Honestly don't think he's that good. So far only showed one good first half and rather mediocre second one.

He looks a bit taller, like to the 190 cm. If I google I find 187 and 186 with 80/81kg a lot....

I'd like to suggest upping his passing stats even further. His long passing in particular is very, very good for a player his age; reminds me a lot of Heitinga in that aspect.

He could also do with higher numbers in the Heading, Jumping and Agility department. Perhaps also up his weak foot stats, he's quite good with his left.

I think the strength of this central defensive duo (Vertonghen-Alderweireld) is that communicate really well. They are both not the fastest (altough Toby could be a little underrated in this acpect) but always in the right place together. They both have really good reading of the game. This combined with their strength on the ball and their ability to set up an attack makes them IMO the best central duo in the back at Ajax for me. For some reason the block vd Wiel-Toby-Vertonghen-Urby seems to work really good now. Even Emanuelson seems to get back in form. 3 matches with this back 4 (inlcuding Slovan at home, with Atouba instead Urby, and Heracles and today) leaves us with 15 goals made, 0 conceded!

I've got him at 80 DEF in my OF.

Also have his Header on 81 and his TW on 82.

Almost played every match this season, always playin very solid and reliable, connecting well with his teammates especially with vertonghen in the back. So i think we could raise him in some aspects ;)

Just some minor suggestions:

Balance: 84 --> He's quite strong to be honest, he has the needed power to out muscle offensive players but doesn't have to use it an awful lot due to his awesome pairing with Vertonghen and his very good positional ability. Still a strong lad though, certainly worth to be on par with Gudde, Wernbloom and Mulenga.

Stamina: 84 --> Again, a little raise of 2 points but a needed one in my eyes. Whilst not venturing forward as much as his counter-part Vertonghen, he does go forward quite a few times and those marauding runs of his take away a good bit of stamina; not to mention the rushes back if the ball is lost.

Over-all, Toby covers a lot of ground in 90 minutes and deserves this number. Vertonghen also has an 84, but I feel he is underrated in this aspect as he moves back and forth far more frequently than Toby does. The two of them cover one hell of a lot of space though.

This number would be on par with Bahia and Horváth, two suitable partners in my eyes.

Top Speed: 78 --> Definitely faster than guys like Moisander, Klavan and Calabro in a long rush. Vertonghen is the slow-poke but Toby sort of makes up for it because of his relative high speed in rushing back. This number puts him on par with Hofs, Schaars, Greene and Sankoh in a long run which is a fair position, I believe.

Agility: 76 --> I've compared him to several Eredivisie and Premier League players and found he should come down at this number. He's capable on the ball and surely his dribbling technique also affects his effectiveness on-ball but he can also twist his body relatively quick. A 74 would mean he's on par with lads like Skrtl and Kyrgiakos, which is really an insult towards Alderweireld. A 76 would move him up a notch, partnering him with the likes of Viergever, Duff, Anton Ferdinand and Nelsen.

Team Work: 84 --> I know we've just updated his Team Work but what Toby and Jan have been displaying lately is really world-class. It's not just the fact they're both footballing defenders but also the fact they communicate really well that makes them such a good pairing. They really feel each other well, better so than any other defensive pair in the Eredivisie and better than quite a lot of pairings in other leagues too. The understanding between our back-line is the real reason we've conceded such a little amount of goals.

Consistency: 6/7 --> Hasn't had a bad game since entering the first team I feel, so that's 21 games this season I believe.

Cards:
P08 - Pinpoint Pass --> Both Alderweireld and Vertonghen are the "passing" central defenders. They like to create play from the back and can launch deadly cross-passes over the pitch towards attackers to create forward movements. Both of them deserve this card, I feel.
S09 - Covering --> Often covers up for Van der Wiel, Enoh or Vertonghen which is another weapon of our defence. With two defenders that know how to control space, opposition attacks are easily fended off because our two Belgian defenders are capable of spotting holes left by their team-mates and anticipate on that by giving cover.
Buon compleanno, il pibe d'oro.

For agility, he's definitely more agile than Duff, Anton Ferdinand and Nelsen, he could possibly be a 77, although I'm not sure how he'd fit in with the Eredivisie ladders.

Don't you think his passing stats could go up to high greens?

I was thinking about an +1 raise for long passing and short passing could also use an +2 point raise.

Alderweireld is a bit like G.Pique, altough i see Alderweireld as the better passer of the two
