Interestingly he seems to use his left more then when he was playing as a LB but I guess 6/6 is still okay. I rarely see him shoot with his left for example.

A 6 is already pretty good for Weak Foot stats. I see no reason to give him 7 for one of these. Ola John for instance is a player who would deserve a 7 for WFA or WFF.

A really good signing. He had a good game against AZ at the weekend. Newcastle are really improving their squad.

I assume this means Cabaye is going to play a slightly more advanced role this season then?

----------Cisse
Ba-------------------Ben Arfa
---------Cabaye----
-----Tiote----Anita

I tell you what, that doesn't look too bad on paper does it...

I hope so, he was my player of the season. Personally I would drop Tiote, he gives away too many fouls, and put Anita in the middle with Cabaye.

I have been really impressed by how Newcastle have gone about their business in the last couple of years. Mike Ashley was public enemy number 1 after sacking Hughton and bringing in Pardew ( a southener ! ) and since then they have signed some really good players at realistic fees. They must have a good european (possibly french) scout or fixer. Ben Arfa, Amalfitano, Cabaye and Marveaux are all quality signings. While Liverpool bought.......

I have good hopes for Anita. He finally got a role to focus on last season, he's played everywhere in midfield and defence in his time at Ajax, and really made the DM position his own. He is really small though so he'll have to handle even quicker, avoiding (too many) physical duels.

His DEF is too low imo btw. His SPA could use a little boost as well. He's a good defender and good passer as well. I'd say his DEF is a easy 73, raising SPA to 79.
EDIT: Forgot to add, AGG is just too high. Probably from his SB role. Whites is what his style warrants. He doesn't join attacks much, mostly remains deep in midfield. Something like a 72 would do.
And MENT is rated to old definiton. A value in the 76-78 range would suffice. And Enforcer would suit him I think.

Agree, except for MENT he deserves to sit on yellow. 80 atleast.

Just got called up for the pre-selection of the national team. Wonder how he's doing at Newcastle. Any thoughts of the EPL watchers on the set? I see it's not been updated for 2.5 years.

Are you serious, only some more downgrades? Why would he ever be a starter at NUFC if he is quite a bit worse than the current set.

I don't know the player, but first the current set is a pretty damn solid set for a DMF (with Form 7 no less), and second Newcastle are currently rock bottom of the EPL with 0 wins out of eight matches. So from team performances alone it doesn't look like a lot of merit to be currently a starter for them.
