He is really average this season.
Although, Tomas started the season really well with 3 goals in 4 games in Champions League qualifiers and some assists, after that he was really poor and he was in-and-out of the team.
To be fair, so far this season he wasn't given many games in his favourite position from last season, the SS position.
He started the season as a starter in the CF position in the 4-3-3 formation, with Sheridan as a LWF, weirdly. Although, he wasn't playing really good, he scored goals and given assists.
Then, he was selected for a number of games in his favourite SS position in the 4-4-2 formation, behind Sheridan, who played as the Target Man in the CF position, and Tomas played well.
After that, he was given a little rest because he missed a great part of pre-season, as he didn't accept lower wages than some illogical amount he requested at first, so that he can have Summer Holidays in the Brazil World Cup, because he was not selected for Olympiakos squad in Pre-Season.
Recently, he was playing as a Wide-Midfielder in the 4-4-2 and he played badly.
In APOEL's most recent game, Vs Ethnikos, he finally started again as the SS and although he had a pretty average game, he gave a good assist to Sheridan with a cross(1:25):

About his set, his Workrate this Season has been really poor. In some games he was absolutely isolated and uninterested and he wasn't even trying to chase the ball, unlike last season, when he showed really good Tenacity and good Defensive Workrate when needed, and of course, Attacking Workrate when APOEL was on the attack, as he part of pretty much every opportunity.

Also, Tomas doesn't look as strong as he did last season, that's for sure. During last season, he was fighting really well for the ball, against physical opponents like AEL's defender in the video in his first post. However, this season he looks pretty average in this aspect.

Finally, his Short Passing this season is very frustrating. He makes many silly passes and gives the ball away far too often.

It is really strange how he has changed from the best player and fan favourite to the worst "1st eleven" player of the team in just 3-4 months!
"Devi" is going from bad to worse this season and he doesn't even put the effort in.
Technique is still there, but his decision making is just atrocious. No concentration, no workrate, no nothing :p

Last Monday, he started as SS behind Djebbour VS Doxa, and played probably his worst game for APOEL since joining last January, and he was subbed-off after just 45 minutes.

Areas that can be decreased in his set: Short Passes, Workrate, Body Balance, Form, Response.

- Dribble Accuracy: 82 (-1)
- Short Pass Accuracy: 76 (-1)
- Long Pass Speed: 75 (-1)
- Body Balance: 78 (-1)
Although being one of the best players and top scorers of last season, this season, since his permanent move from Olympiacos he is struggling very much and he underperforms every single match(0 goals since August). I don't think that his set needs massive decreases, just some minor downgrades, like those above.
- Injury Tolerance: B (-1) Missed 2 months already due to injuries this season, and he is still out!

He continues to perform shittier than shit! What I suggested above needs to be changed urgently, so that we may look for further downgrades in the future.

Tomas has improved relatively recently. Against Olympiacos in the Cup, he scored his first goal since August(a deflection...), however, even though he still doesn't get goals and assists, he plays relatively well.

Due to shortages of midfielders due to injuries, Fink played him at first as a DMF/CMF in the 4-2-3-1 next to Morais.
Playing there, he received the ball and having relatively more space than when he was playing in attack, he was able to make one or two good dribbles each single time, but when he came closer and closer to the box, he lacked ideas, and creativity, and he was loosing the ball far too often. He was never the best passer, anyway.

Since Fink has abandoned the 4-4-2, APOEL used to play, De Vincenti, in recent weeks, he started playing in his traditionally favorite position, the AMF position.

In the past 9 months, his set had only minor changes, +/- 1. Since then, he has gone from being the best player, to just one good player.
Maybe it is time to update him a bit?

Yes he is back!

(1:01) Scored the 1st of 4 APOEL goals in the Cup Final Vs AEL Limassol. What a brilliant Free-Kick from such a long range! Hakan Çalhanoğlu quality!
(2:15) He gave an assist to Giorgos Efrem in APOEL's 3rd goal. Very unselfish, gave a number of similar assist last season when he was on fire, like Vs AEL(again) in the Cup to Gustavo Manduca.

He has been on fire again this season after his bad form last season, and he scores and assists like a boss again.
Plays mostly as a Winger, but also as a CMF in a 4-3-3(holding).

Here is a video with some of his best moments of the last 1.5 years at APOEL:

I thought that he played brilliantly the other night Vs Schalke 04 in the Europa League, as a Winger.
He looked lively, taking players on, fighting for the ball like the good old times.
He showed glimpses of his 2013-14 Season Classic Set in the First Post of his topic.
Shame he got red-carded in the late stages of the game for vocal abuse to the referee, the team will miss him a lot in this form.

Continues to be on fire this season, scoring twice this week Vs Nea Salamina, in (1:03) with a brilliant header and in (1:17) with a curled-shot from outside the box, while forcing an own-goal with his cross in (0:42).
He scored 9 goals this season for APOEL, second best only to Cavenaghi.
Finally, he starts to find the form he had in the second part of the 2013-14 Season when he was scoring for fun, in contrast to the 2014-15 Season when he was out-of-form and ineffective.
When making skills and dribbles like the one in the video below, then it is impossible to stop him!

Great goal from him today, his 13th of the Season.

If he continues in this form until the end of the Season, then several stats of his set will surely need an upgrade to about the levels of his Classic set.

As I watch him more and more this Season, I am getting more and more sure that his current set should be upgraded to the levels of his Classic one from the 2013-14 Season.

The set he currently has is too "low" for the way he has been playing this Season, and it was made to reflect on his terrible performances from last Season when he struggled a lot and didn't offer much, in contrast to his first 2013-14 Season, and this Season.

This Season he is on fire, scoring 16 goals and providing 8 assists until today in all competitions. Him and the other Argentinian of the team, Fernando Cavenaghi "Cavegol" lead APOEL to a very possible 4th Championship and 3rd Double in a row.

"Devi" has been playing mostly as a Wide-Midfielder and Attacking-Midfielder this Season, and he has done equally well in both positions. In addition to his great technique, he is definitely a goalscoring midfielder, able of scoring in all possible ways, from long-range to close-range shots, direct Free-Kicks(like the one last week Vs Nea Salamina), and headers.

According to Cypriot media, some big Mexican clubs and some Arab clubs made bids to sign him in the Winter, but APOEL is unwilling to sell, as it will only receive 60% of any transfer-fee, as his former club, Olympiacos, will receive the rest.

18 goals scored and 10 assists from him this Season. I think it is fair to say that he is in the form of his life this Season, even more than the second half of the 2013-14 Season, when he first signed for APOEL on-loan from Olympiacos and almost single-handedly led APOEL to the domestic Treble. With his contract running-out in just over a year from today, big clubs from foreign Leagues should be and could be lining bids to sign him in the Summer.

De Vincenti after having a fruitful spell as a Wide-Midfielder, and mostly as a Right-Winger, around the first stages and the mid stages of this Season, he was recently once again established in his favorite position, the Attacking-Midfielder's position, in the expense of "bench-warmer", last Summer's marquee signing of APOEL, playmaker Semir Stilic, who just cannot find him form at APOEL, despite his undisputed quality that he showed in the Polish League with Lech Poznan and Wisla Krakow.

In the Attacking-Midfielder's position he is currently playing, he acts mostly as a Secondary-Striker, the role in which he was playing also some years ago and impressed when he firstly signed for APOEL in the second half of the 2013-14 Season, making a lot of clever runs into the box, which help him score the big amount of goals that he does.

Sometimes, he has even played as a Center-Forward for APOEL this Season, especially in recent months with first-choice Striker, Fernando Cavenaghi, out-injured, with basically De Vincenti inter-changing positions sometimes with the team's current starting Center-Forward, Pieros Sotiriou. In the last week's derby 0-3 Win against AEK Larnaca, Tomas actually started the game as a Center-Forward, with Pieros Sotiriou being rested on the bench and coming into the game later as a substitute, and De Vincenti scored APOEL's first goal in the first few minutes of the game, with a brilliant weak-footed chip over the outcoming keeper, after a quick counter-attack which started from Right-Winger, Giannis Gianniotas(00:01):

However, in that match he was stupidly sent-off with a straight Red card after a kick from behind to an opponent in the last few minutes of the game with the score at 0-3 to APOEL's favor and he will miss the next four matches because of this... This is not his first lengthy suspension this Season for disciplinary reasons, but actually his third, after being Red-carded for reportedly swearing to the Ref in the Europa League home match Vs Schalke 04, and making a banned "middle-finger gesture" live on-camera in a mid-Season derby Vs Apollon Limassol.

Anyway, with recent changes, his Set looks almost perfect, but some changes can still be made:

- ADD- CF Position as Secondary-Position
- Stamina: 77 (-1)
- Attack Awareness: 3 (+1)
- Acceleration: 78 (+2)
- Aggression: 82 (+3)

Moved to United Arab Emirates' club, Al Shabab Al Arabi, for a rumoured fee of abour €2 million.

Huge loss for APOEL Nicosia for the Champions League Play-Offs Vs FC Copenhagen, especially with new arrivals, Attacking-Midfielder Renan Bressan and Striker Igor De Camargo struggling to impress in their early days in the team, so I would expect massive reinforcements in those areas for APOEL until the end of the Transfer Window after the departure of their main Attacking threat during the last 3 Seasons, De Vincenti.

All of De Vincenti's goals for APOEL:

That's not a great 1st-Season in his return to APOEL, having a muscle-injury in his 1st-match of the Season Vs Suduva (away), then returned towards the end of the European-qualifiers and had one great match as a starter at CF/SS in a 3-1 win Vs Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Then shortly afterwards he was injured again with a muscle-injury in the Super-Cup Vs AEK Larnaca, but when he returned he had his best run of games of the whole Season. He was a starter at CM/AM in a 3-5-2 formation(England of WC) playing a bit deeper than the other CM/AM, Ghayas Zahid, and one of De Vincenti's greatest performances in that system was in a 5-1 win Vs Apollon Limassol. In that match he assisted APOEL's 4th goal to Al-Taamari after stealing the ball in midfield and setting-up Al-Taamari with a great pass: https://twitter.com/CyFutbolista/status ... i-video%2F His performances in his new deeper role came as a surprise, since he always had been more of a Secondary-Striker than a Play-Maker, and in the past he had one Season struggling trying to play that Play-Making position, in 2014-15.
In the beginning of January, he was injured again apparently on his calf, and he is only just now returning from his injury, recently making his first two appearances since suffering the injury. Both came in the Semi-Finals of the Cup Vs Enosis Neon Paralimni, a 1-0 home-win, and a 2-2 away-draw. He had been great at both of those matches, and really showed he can make the difference even without being absolutely fit. In the 1st Semi-Final, he played as an AM in a 4-2-3-1 and had a great match, but missed a penalty shortly before APOEL scored the winner in the last few minutes, and in the 2nd Semi-Final he played as a CM in a 4-3-3 alongside Zahid and ahead of Morais, not having such a great performance in relation to his one in the 1st-leg, but he was still one of the very few decent APOEL players of that match, assisting APOEL's 2nd-goal in injury-time, very similar to the one Vs Apollon (stealing the ball& playing a perfect pass): https://youtu.be/zUu3fZENw0U?t=183
Not sure if this Set needs any changes. When he played he showed that he is at least slightly lower than his current physical stats, but then again he didn't play consistently often enough because of injury in order to draw conclusion. Form at 3 is the only "safe" change I can think of right now. Maybe I'll post some more next Season or at the end of this Season if he gets playing-time on a much more consistent basis.

He has been poor to a large extent this Season. Ironically, he was expected to be one of the most important players of APOEL once again this Season, given that last Season he had suffered from injuries and didn't play much as a result, but in reality his performances this Season have been even lower than when he did play last Season. It's surprising that he is still only 30 years old, but he has been out of form for three Season in a row right now. Quality is still there, but I think it is a combination of poor form, injuries, and physical decline that have lead to his declining contribution to the team.

Oh God he has been so poor this Season that it makes this great Set that he has right now looking like a very long time ago.
Ironically he has stayed fit and without injuries in the past 2-3 months and he has been given a lengthy run into the starting line-up, but he contributed close to nothing. It is hard to see what the purpose or essence in his game is at the moment...I think he needs to be a substitute, and also playing only as a Secondary-Striker and not as an Attacking-Midfielder where he has been playing this couple of Seasons. Even in his prime he was never great as an Attacking-Midfielder, and always his best games were as a Secondary-Striker. If he is to recover any sort of form from now until the end of the Season, he needs to be playing in his best position.
Suggested updates from before look good, maybe Form needs to be downgraded further to 2:
