He is honestly one of the worst footballers to ever don the kit.

He's just average, he's not even in the top 30 of worst players I've seen at the club, he's also been decent lately. Not £50m worthy but he's been better than Matic, Herrera and Pogba who've been shite lately.

I don't know how many you've seen, but I've seen a shit tonne worse than him, but we've also had a shit tonne of players. For 52m you'd expect more than one good game against PSG. He has been awful and looks massively out of his depth.

Good squad player, but Mourinho should stop whining about talent discrepancies with City when he spends £52million on Fred. No offense to Fred, but what did Barcelona pay dor Arthur?

Yeah.

This guy has had some really good games recently especially in the champions league. Came back to see if any updates has been made to him nearing the end of the season and theres none.

Why he’s being dismissed even when he's had good games is beyond me.

Literally bossed the DM position first leg vs Barca at Old Trafford but McTominays performance made people overlook Freds.

I would post some video references of his recent performances and what needs improving but theres clearly no point.

You can't base a players performance off of a Whoscored rating.

He claimed Fred did well against PSG, i posted the whoscored ratings that show the opposite, and regardless of how accurate they are, it's still better than nothing. Neither of you two have any basis nor provided anything that backs your claims, neither that he's played well that day or that the whoscored rating isn't reflective of the reality, no VS videos, no nothing. Just opinions.

The burden of the proof lies with the one who makes the claim. I expect better from you Paddy.

Is this a good performance? We have different standards then. A few fouls, did steal a decent number of balls, but struggled badly while on the ball, bad first touch, poor passing, couldn't bypass the pressing of PSG well enough... Really whenever PSG pressed him he struggled. It's hardly a performance that you could use to claim he deserves any raise, in fact the set is still looking generous judging from what he did against PSG. He's a far worse player in the technical aspects than he was on his Inter days, only thing he's improved at is his defensive commitment, yet it's not even special compared to what players on the same role have been doing on the league.

Everything I have said in this thread has been about Fred being shite and not worth the money. He was good against PSG, but apart from that I've seen nothing but some shite dribbling and not much else.

Yeap, looks like a SPS>SPA player: adventurous with his short-passing, presumably having decent vision, but his accuracy as of late has been mediocre at best. Bad thing is that he does a lot of unforced errors with his passing inside his team's half, and if it had been in the opponent's half then it would have been much of a problem.

Now more of a general comment, Fred hasn't done well at Man United so far, but I think they could do a lot worse than giving him a good run of games instead of the deadwood. His stamina and pace look great and can also steal the ball. He is somebody who can literally "run" in midfield, the only other player at United except of Herrera who can "run" and maybe also McTominay (Pereira has good workrate but much preferring to have the ball at his feet& Pogba can run but cannot defend& Matic LOL).
He has some nice attributes, however playing-wise they haven't fall into place on the field yet for him since his transfer. I cannot see United signing 6 players in the Summer, and I think that Defensive-Mid or Central-Mid might be two positions they decide not to strengthen, at least for one of them even if I hope not, and if that's the case he needs a good run of games before we judge him. If he improves, great, but if he does not, at least he was given an opportunity.

This set should be updated
He has often played as DM so we could add this position and maybe remove SS and SM

Def can be rise to high 60s, low 70s, he works hard without the ball and is a ball-winning CM. Att can be drop to 65-66 because he is very shy in this aspect

He is really a very peculiar player sometimes he looks a bit interesting defensively and then he is totaly shite, lose too much balls and cost goals
