2017 Player Format

Postby Raster » 2016 Sep 27, 19:08

As you have probably noticed, we launched the 2017 Player Format just in time for the game release, if you did not have the chance to take a look you can do so here.

The new format was also added to the Default Format switcher that we have available at the top of every page.

Also, as always, the buttons for the old formats are still in place so you can enjoy the stats in whatever flavor of the game you prefer more.

What do you guys think of the format or PES 2017 in general ?

Hi there everyone and mods mostly. So, Ocrin and mostly Raster, when the new format came you said you'd may release the formulas you used to get to the new stats so, will it be possible by any means? :D
The debate in this thread is pretty interesting and I too wish that those formulas were available so we could make our own changes on the games regarding Classic Players stats (so you guys didn't need to have all the trouble on updating the Classic's threads with the new stats) and to formulate new players, youth squads and forgotten players in general.
So, the main point is how to reach the values for Explosive Power (in which your sets are the same number of the previous Agility stat but discarding Acceleration number seems wrong for me in the majority of the pacey players - like Mbappe being 81, Aubameyang at 83 and so on), and how to reach values for Body Control and Physical Contact which I stated that you guys settled 60 at like a "default" number for most of the players with rare exclusions of players having some sort of balance between the two stats.
And again, I'm asking for it because I really like to make or modify my patchs for the game and add as many Classic, Youth and Missing players as I can so it would help a lot to know the best way to reach the new stats using all the deeply debated stats on these forum threads as a base :)
Btw I really like the work you guys do in this database, I've been using these stats since PES 08 and I hope it stays on for all the versions to come xD

Are those 2017 stats realistic for PES 2019? Are those updated or is there coming updates?

They definitely don't work. I tried creating a player in PES 2019 using the 2017 stats I found on here and his overall rating was 5 or 6 points higher in the game that it was listed on here. Also, when you compare a player's stats in 2019 with what is displayed here, his stats in PES 2019 are lower than the 2017 stats you see listed here. So if you want to create players in PES 2019 based on their 2017 stats listed here, I suggest you lower everything about 4 or 5 points.

I'm not sure why the community didn't add in 2018 and 2019, but my guess is that people are tired of doing the work every year.

What I'd recommend doing if you want to create a player in PES 2019 is look up his stats on and then make a stats ladder of similar players that are in both games, and use that for comparison.

What do you mean they "don't work"?

PSD's overall ratings are not intended to work the same as Konami's and aren't properly implemented at the moment.
Besides, we tend to not take into account the overall rating or the flawed, inconstant new scales and standards that seem to come and go with each new game.

What matters is how the player is replicated on the pitch, which is what our stats are based on and what they intend to do.
Everyone knew it was impossible. Then came along a fool who didn't know it, and he did it.

I agree...I like Body control :D

I can assure you that it does work, I am testing the sets of some players in PES 6, PES 18 and PES 19, and except for small differences in only some players, I can say that the players feel very similar with the old stats and the next-gen stats in most. As Ocrin said, don't pay attention to the overall ratings, pes 17/18/19 are the same stats 100% confirmed.
