Defence: 47

Agility: 84
I'm surprised his Def and Res are this low. He seems to do a solid job of interecepting balls, and being in the right position. These seem a bit harsh.

I'm not convinced his agility is that high. And also that his passing isn't a bit better :?

Yeah either that or his mentality needs a tweak ... he dose do a lot of running in a match ... I might be overcritical here but in a direct comparison to Riera I kind of wish Liverpool wold have got Jonas

DS could go up to 87 really, he doesn't lose much speed on the ball(heck, he even outpaced Clichy while with the ball at his feet once).

Well him and Riera are pretty much pound for pound when it comes to dribbling, but both in slightly different ways:

I'd personally put both like this:

GUTIÉRREZ
Dribble Accuracy: 84
Dribble Speed: 87

RIERA
Dribble Accuracy: 87
Dribble Speed: 84

Very close but shows the difference in each area.

PS. Both have an 84 in agility.

i would agree with both actually
he has shown he can help quite a bit in defence when needed..
also for reponse i think 80 would be perfect for him...

DA 87:
i put his DA on pair by Riera he doesnt have any lower than him on dribbling.

Tech 85:
his first touches is very good. and i put him 2 point lower than Riera

TW 82:
he has good relation by others and his dribbles arent for show his ability!

Att 80:
he is very useful while Attacks and has good positioning

Res 82:
he has fast mind and know what to do in short times.

Jonas can dribble faster than Riera, but I don't think his dribble is accurate as much as Riera. I'd leave him 84, or 85 at the most.

BECKS23LA's suggestion of TEC83 sounds more reasonable to me. 85 will put him above Young and Valencia who does show really neat touches.

I agree with you in terms of TW, RES. Not sure about his ATT raise.

I don't understand his mentality value. Every time I've seen this guy he's running about like a nutter the entire time he's on the pitch. IMO a clear 90's candidate.

This was also my impression of this guy when I saw him against Chelsea. I don't know whether he deserves an orange value or not but I think he needs an increase for sure. A value between 87-89 seems fair to me.

I don't know why Gutierrez didn't start against us on Saturday. Maybe Shearer saw him as an impact substitution, I don't know, but he made a big impression on the game and it was largely down to him that they started playing better football and attacking more.

I noticed his mentality was crazy! He was running around everywhere trying to get stuck in, was going into tackles and not moaning or rolling around on the floor. Nice to see.

He's also got a very weird running style. Reminds me of an Ostrich type thing.

Updated stamina,mentality and response.
"If you are first you are first. If you are second, you are nothing" - Bill Shankly.
"I guarantee fourth place" - Rafael Benitez.
