Everybody talks about the likes of Vardy or Kasper Schmeichel regarding the fantastic season Leicester City is having atm.
But Drinkwater has been terrific as well, with his outstanding work rate and dynamic display. Against all odds, he's playing every match, ahead of Gokhan Inter.
His Stamina is worth high yellows, maybe even low 90s.
Aw has to be 3/3 for sure, Box to Box could be added as well, and his ATT/DEF seems to be fairly better and more balanced. Form 6 could be questioned at first sight, but it is certainly deserved since he made his debut with the club a year ago. One of the most consistent midfielders outside the traditional top 5 or 6 clubs.
He even deserves to be capped for England, at least as a back up player.

And his début for England, against Germany, was truly inspirational.
He really looked like a fairly experienced player as the holding midfielder for The Threee Lions, giving them an unusual balance at the heart of the field.
Maybe it won't be enough for him to play at EURO, but he's more than a capable backup anyway.

IMO, he's not box to box nor anchorman, he's covering too much space for an anchorman, he's going forward too much for that. If he goes forward, Kante is covering him and if Kante goes forward, Drinkwater is covering. Ofcourse, they play in different roles, Drinkwater is the one who mostly has the ball when they attack positionaly, he's calm on the ball and good passer. He should have *Centre but none of the special cards like Anchorman or Box to Box. I'd consider giving him *Playmaking.

He already has Centre for old gen PES, fyi.
He fills gaps left by his teammates, sure, but that is more related to his already high TW. Otherwise, he's usually just in front of his D-Line, acting like an extra defensive shield; once he gets the ball back he starts dictating tempo on the ball. It's similar to what Surman does for Bournemouth, but Drinkwater has a better battery of technical abilities at his disposal. I would agree with Playmaking.

From what i've seen he's also quite aggressive, attacking the box a lot, arriving late. I haven't seen the full game against LFC, but i remember one situation where Kante gave him a good pass high on the pitch, but he messed up.

Against Nufc in the first half he's rarely been involved in the build up, also relying more on off the ball movement, attacking the box, as a typical free roaming player.

Given how much this seems to have just killed his career, maybe a drop in form would be the best way to handle him. Hope he can get out.

Well, his form is already shit, but for another stats we should watch him i guess.

Think he is looking less good at DA and his AGI was rough some times today. Solid passing is still there, but having less of an impact offensively compared to Douglas Luiz and other options they have. Still early, but wanted to note it now.
