Paddy wrote:Why do you do this to me. He's not afraid to take a shot from range and he hits them with a fair bit of pace. Loves to dribble on the ball, not really a winger doesn't run forward all too often and does track back as well as harass the oppositions full back, he's been played as a right midfielder for Sunderland and I'd consider it his natural position now and he certainly doesn't warrant such a high defence value from what I've seen of him. He may be pacey, but not quite the values you've suggested carlitos, he's more along the lines of an 85 for TS and a 86 for ACC, a raise in DS is needed though. In his time so far at Sunderland he's NOT been a good passer or crosser of the ball, I think the first post represents him in this aspect. Will cut inside but is a natural side player with pace, he's not got an awful lot of control on the ball when dribbling and he's not so composed further up the line. Possible candidate for Long Ranger due to his propensity to shoot from range, yet I don't see him being a candidate for Middle Shooting as, well, they're not good enough. He's got a good leap too, he showed that against Brum, surprised neither set has noted that.

I have to say i dont really agree with you much.. he is faster than 85/86, but the way he runs dosent show it. if someone could upload his highlights vs arsenal u would see just how easily he outran clichy, wich takes a bit more than 85/86. he is however a fairly one dimensional player, does NOT cut in that much, maybe twice per game unless he is played AMF or CF which was sometimes the case when he played for ENPPI or the Egypt Youth Teams. as for leap i'd have to agree with you. I'd raise it quite a bit. you should read the sunderland fans websites, seeing as they watch all of sunderlands games, without interrupting to check on another game, and see what they think of his crossing, you'd be surprised.

I don't remember him easily out-running Clichy (who is being suggested for a decrease in speed anyway), over long distance that is. From what I remember he beat Gael numerous times over 10-20 yards, which alot of players do to Clichy but not a great deal of players have taken him on over longer distances. From what I remember he was on fire in that game, he did run Clichy ragged with more than just pace. He had a persistence and drive to make something happen (as did the whole Sunderland team) and most things came off for him. On the jump issue, for that game purely I'd of had him on something in the range of 83-85 but not seeing him regularly I can't say too much with certainty.

Just on another note.. is it Al-Muhammadi or Elmohamady? Or are both acceptable?

Well, goal.com, espn soccernet, wikipedia, and sunderlands official website all use 'Ahmed Elmohamady', and that's what I recall seeing on motd and shy-sports, so I guess that the latter name could be 1st post. Both are used and generally both are accepted, deity ;)
From what I have seen I agree to jump being raised to an 83, I wouldn't see him being particularly dangerous anyway given his BB value. For speed I'd go for an 84 TS, 86 ACC, and 84 DS. Some of his perceived pace to me is derived from him trying awfully hard to make an impact in what game his playing (maybe to make his move permanent), but seems a bit rusty technically in his dribbling and shooting.

Won 21 headers against Gael Clichy when Sunderland player Arsenal this season. Clichy is currently on an 85 jump. I wouldn't back Al Muohamamamamadiy to win too many headers againt Clichy in game when there is a 10 point gap between them in Jump and they have the same header value..

His goal on the weekend reminded me how good he is in the air. I'm thinking that a value of 77-78 for Header would be good. He also needs a raise in Jump, but I'm not sure of what to.

Maybe because I put in effort on updating the set a year ago and he hasn't shown he's worthy of any updates apart from the possible speed one I mentioned?

Stu, just raise his TS as suggested by yourself, switch default position to SB and add Offensive Sideback.
TW could be slightly lower though, probably high whites?

He's a defensive liability; Robertson looks much more solid when defending at the left flank. If it wasn't for his speed, rivals would overrun that flank even more often.
I have him with DEF 60 atm, but it could be even slightly lower than that.
