A nice surprise.

Good season for this guy. Changed his main position from SB to CB and upgraded his Defence. Done some tweaks here and there.

Not sure if Mario Hermoso'll play for Espanyol in the next season...

i think he's RES>DEF guy, he's not bad defensively, but his pace and responsiveness are mostly what give him an advantage in most situations, I still feel like he has more to his game defensively, he can easily get to mid yellows, follows a somewhat similar pattern of Ramos, going from decent full back with bit technique to a very pacey CB with above average technical abilities.

great update.

he completely dominated the central position and besides being going through the best moment of his career, he is also performing as the best player of the team this season.

but I can't deny that his lpa value is a bit high, I think his verticality is much more limited than other players in his same position and situation (sidebacks converted into cb's).

I believe Real are gonna trigger his 6M buy back clause and proceed to loan him back to Espanyol or even keep him instead of Nacho.

About LPA / LPS. He makes a lot of incredible diagonals from his position from the left sector to the theoretical right-wing position, again and again and with great quality. Quantity and quality.
With lower values it would be to underestimate this player, being a specialist in LPA / LPS.

RCD Espanyol has a few good players: Mario Hermoso, David López, Adrià Pedrosa, Marc Roca, Sergi Darder, Óscar Melendo, Borja Iglesias... If the team is able to keep these players, they can do a very good next season.

Maybe the team needs some good SMF / WF to raise the level.

It took so little time to see he totally warranted this LPA. Good eye from the start for that value, surely it's a resource and he's excelled at it, specially at vertical passes.
