no Van der Vaart, Van Bommel, Marcellis and Boulahrouz. I think we must start to give a place to Elia. but who can be removed? :?

I'd change Babel and Elia. Van Marwijk used Elia the last few games

But Babel usually also get a call. Marcellis really needs to be removed though. Maybe just change Elia for Marcellis? In the last squad van Marwijk only called up 6 defenders too.

The dutch national team is going through difficult times nowadays... some of their stars are merely on the bench for the teams they play for while others are just injured way too often. It's about time that the new generations are stepping up to deliver now.

The thing is...of the stars of the 2 U21 championships we won most players didnt really develop: Zuiverloon, Donk, Vlaar, Drenthe, Aisatti, de Ridder, Maduro, etc. arent better then 2 or 3 years ago. Bakkal and Vlaar are playing decent last months and are pretty close to call ups (Bakkal even made his debut because of some injuries some weeks ago).

And of the newest generation (born 1988-90) I guess only vd Wiel is good enough to be playing in the NT. Other players of the U21 to watch are Anita (simply because we dont have a decent leftback, and he is doing okay in Ajax), Bruma (but he is just 17) and Fer. The others not even close to the NT.

------------------------------------------------------
----------------De Zeeuw-----Schaars----------------

van Marwijk wants to look to our sub's Boulahrouz Braafheid De Zeeuw Schaars and Afellay

Nothing new, I already knew these names months ago (except the 3rd GK who injured) ;)

I swapped Kuyt with Van Persie in formation.

Updated with official numbers.

Just a question: did starters take numbers from 1 to 11 (like Brazil)?
