IS HE REALLY!?!? C'mon Becks, you should know by now it helps to explain why you think that ;)

Rodney Marsh: "Crikey Alf, at Manchester City all we get is an orange and a cup of tea."

But then they'll have to pay his rather large compensation fee, which they can't afford at the moment, especially as it's so short after he signed his new contract.

Very true. Torres and Gerrard both out for a few weeks now, things aren't looking up :D

It's only a matter of time before Torres decides to pack his bags though. If they don't make the Champions League I think it is inevitable that he will start to think "Hang on a minute, I'm the best striker in the world, yet there are players worse than me playing in the best competition in the world.."

Don't quote me as saying Torres is the best striker and that there is no better competition than the Champions League but you get the jist ;)

I'd quite like them to play in their own countries league
Don't get me wrong, they play great football and the Cardiff Swansea game is always great to watch, and probably wouldn't get such coverage were it not for them both playing in England but still, don't agree with it. Have you watched Norwich must this season? Grant Holt seems underrated in a few areas

I haven't seen much of Norwich, too busy watching Cardiff, QPR, Swansea and Leeds

in an ideal world yes they should play in the welsh league BUT we don't live in an ideal world, and it would be unfair to have them in a shite league when there as good as our teams....

In an ideal world united shouldn't be called a Manchester Club, Chelsea shouldn't be called Chelsea etc, arsenal would play in Ligue 1....

Arsenal should play in Ligue 1  Love that!

As for United, well, there's no arguing that geographically the ground isn't situated in the 'City' of Manchester, but Trafford is part of 'Greater Manchester'. Ha, maybe the team should be renamed 'Greater Manchester United'. Arguably makes us sound even better than we already are ;) The Lancashire Cricket Team play there too and Lancashire is a completely different County! Counties are a seriously confusing thing though so let's not even go there haha!

What could Chelsea be called? Hammersmith FC? :|

This could be a potentially interesting thread in the off-topic section! :P
