These stats are random for sure, he is actually a good and technically really gifted defender! He has showed it especially on his debut for Croatia a year ago: The building up game looked so much better because of his nice vertical passes and he looked so much better on the ball than what Croatian fans has to see from Lovren, Caleta Car and Vida (even if the first two are quite solid technically which speaks moreso for Peric).

Too bad he fucked up his ligaments, now after 7 months he is able to play again and i hope that he will get his form back. He literally came out of nowhere from being one of hundreds totally sporadic and outsorted player of DInamo to getting as good as Theophile and Dilaver to say at least! It will be interesting to see him play with Gvardiol on his side, especially in terms of their quality on the ball!

My suggestion:

Attack: 52 -> 62 (offers much more for the offensive game than Vida (60), Lovren (62) and Caleta Car(63) who all may get decreased by -3 each)
Defence: 66 -> 73 (if he gets nominated for the national team again it may be a 75 but lets look if it is the same player as before...)
Response: 72 -> 76
Agility: 60 -> 64
Dribble Accuracy: 69 -> 74
Dribble Speed: 63 -> 75 (really good in driving the ball forward with some dribbling runs. You wouldn't expect it from a tall and stiff guy)
Short Pass Accuracy: 67 ->74 (nice vertical passes with good speed in them)
Short Pass Speed: 65 -> 76
Long Pass Accuracy: 65 -> 69 (other than his nice short passing, his long passing isn't something special)
Long Pass Speed: 63 -> 69
Technique: 70 -> 73
Aggression: 59 -> 66
Mentality: 64 -> 70
Teamwork: 62 -> 71

Here is also a complete analysis of him, showing some of the mentioned passes and dribbling runs:
Spoiler: show
