Thorsten Fink should fire that fucking loser already, every time he lost a ball today he stopped running, if I were Hamburg's coach he would warm the bench in the 2nd team. Makes me rage to see such weak minded, overpaid legionnaires like him and Mancienne.

Good to see him at PSV, better for both parties I think, he doesn't have to complain about playing time, and PSV finally get a defender in who's better than Marcelo...

Good to see him in The Netherlands indeed. Hope he can give PSV a better image...

(On the other hand, perhaps the only way to bring back their image (for me) is to bring in youth players instead of just buying their entire first squad... The reason I don't like PSV much.)

He has to do his medical test first, so i don't think its official yet. But he most likely is going to sign soon.

Every club has its tradition. PSV was never a club to give youth much chance, but there scouting always where good. Except ofcourse for the last couple of years after Hiddink. I'm happy that PSV had its own filosofy because it brought great/class foreign players to Holland for example, imo its a shame that they want to copy Ajax now. Diversity imo is a good thing. The problem began when they start buying 2nd hand foreigners.

Every semi-competent defender is a reinforcement for PSV at the moment.

Judging by these stats (esp. TW, MEN), they are aiming to maintain the rich comedy-value of their defence.

Btw, successfully 'buying' a team is no longer an option as policy for any Eredivisie team, I think. Scouting falls into that utopian dream. Even in Hiddink's time, irresponsible investments and fatuous risks were camouflaged by CL-success.

I dont think that true. You can still buy good players for cheap, but you have to get a bit lucky with there adaptment aswel. And other things like, bigger clubs not snatching them first.

This, in combination with the ever marginalising sportive and financial role of Dutch clubs is a huge factor (and the main reason why I hold my view).

/on topic.

The point is: its still possible. Heerenveen also bought for example Finnbogason and Djuricic.

Ontopic: if the set is accurate, which i believe, its a good signing for PSV atm for sure.

Yes the set is up to date. He really isn't a bad defender he just had one big problem the last years and that was his inconstance. If he fix that he surely can help PSV.

Really?? Just consistency?

What about his positioning, communication and mentality? From what I've seen he only has his athleticism and decent ball skills going for him.

He surely need trust by the coach which he hadn't add hamburg. It's quiet much pressure if you know that after one mistake you are back on the bench. In good games his positioning wasn't bad he was quiet solid.

I am quite sure he is taller then this. Looks more like 187 cm - 189 cm to me?

His DA seems a bit high. 74-75 would be fine I guess.

Agree on DA and he's taller and heavier indeed. 189 cm and about 87/88 kg.

His RESP could probably be a bit higher. Yellows seem weldeserved. Also his SP should be higher. I have seen a couple of Alderweireld-esque slammers of him.

Tenacity should also be higher. He wins most of his ball by being agressive and alert. Not so much by "smart" positioning.
