Insane placement in there, curling as well. Such a crazy talent. What is he doing there? Playing without any kind of pressure, enjoying being probably the best player in the league any year and earning a shitload of money. Some players prefer that instead of being in better leagues, working their asses off and trying to play WC. Piatti -sadly- is not the case and that's why he won't be remembered as a great world class player, the sad part is he has all to be it.

Forgive me if I'm off base as I barely seen this season's MLS, but he is not the best player in the league, when I watched MLS more often and got to see a bit of Montreal he actually was really subdued and I thought maybe overrated, he has touch/control that distinguishes him compared to the majority of the league but not the most effective player. Villa has more consistent impact and showcases his abilities frequently, and on what was a much shittier team.

Has Piatti been more of a regular force this season? To me he seems more to make great moves/plays that make highlight reels but is a bit absent in many instances, this could be down to Montreal just not being that good of a team and he sees less of the ball. A good player and probably in the top 5 of MLS players, but just not a big constant, he is too sporadic.

Well, that's been Piatti all his career, I meant about talent...obviously Villa has more impact, I mean in terms of technique and real talent I guess he's the best...the goal average for a midfielder like him is just crazy as well as his moves. He just doesn't care enough to be the real best, he could be even greater but he doesn't give a damn.

EDIT: I dunno if he is the best or not, but the guy is a scoring machine, 4 goals in 2 matches this week

Can't his shot accuracy be a bit better? he's a hell of finisher.
