I'm sorry , I have a question

Why the whole team has outdated players, while the Big 3 got a decent update?
How about more mods in this section?

Sorry about my question

Portimonense team should be created... I've just noticed that apart from Rúben Fernandes (viewtopic.php?f=30&t=19190&p=585236&hilit=ruben+fe#p585236) in UEFA northern region topic, there are also Ricardo Pessoa (who I bellieve retired this season but I don't have any official source) and Ricardo Ferreira, both in LigaPro and other leagues topic, are already made. ANd this is a team that performed very decently this year and had in their ranks very good players such as Shoya Nakajima, Fabrício, Dener, Ewerton, Tabata, Wellington Carvalho, Pedro Sá... They presented a very pffensive side and was really nice to watch them play. In terms of football, apart from the top 4, Portimonense, Rio Ave, Chaves, were some of the good teams that where pleasent to watch.

Hi everyone, give your thoughts on this set. I'll be posting several sets for players of our league, first will be of Portimonense. After losing Paulinho to Porto, Portimonense was left with 2 quality players, Nakajima and Fabrício, these 2 impressed the most, but there were others, that I'll be posting later for discussion. Not sure if I went to far in some areas with him, but he is indeed a wonderfull player, and I'm intregued to see where he'll play next year (almost certain he won't remain at Portimonense).

In short, what i think of him is that he is a very fast player, specially with ball, ver hard to mark as he is also very agile and very hard to stop when heading tward goal. He is also a very decent passer and can read the team's play nicely.

Hi, not sure if it was me you were talking to:)

But anyway, I have a rough idea of how he is, I didn't follow Benfica as closelly as a Benfica suportes would have. I was hoping someone would post stas for both Rúben Dias as well as for Bruno Varela, they both played important roles in Benfica this year, Bruno Varela has even been around for a few years. As soon as I can I'll post something for debate as well.

Here are some of the key players for Portimonense this season. They were the heart of the team, playing in the centerfield and most of the team's succes depended on their performances.

First is Dener, played the Box to Box role of the team, took him a while to appear on the first team, as he started the season recovering from an injury that left him out of the field for over a year. He's the most aggressive player, but adds to that a decent passing skils as well as decent ball control, using his physique to keep the ball, ans likes to appear many times on the box in finishing position. His presence on the team was many times essential for the teams good performances since it was him the link between defense and attack.

Spoiler: show
Club: Portimonense SC
Name: Dener
Shirt Name: DENER
Number: 7
Positions: CM, AM

Nationality: Brazilian _bra
Age: 26 (13/03/1992)

Height: 185 cm
Weight: 79 kg

Injury Tolerance: B
Foot: R
Side: B

Attack: 72 (Pedro Tiba and Bataglia have 72, but Dener usually appears deeper on the box for finishing, so a pint higher, as much as Sérgio Oliveira, I think 73 would be too much)
Defence: 57
Balance: 82
Stamina: 83
Top Speed: 79
Acceleration: 79
Response: 76
Agility: 80 (I had his agility lower, but given his size and weight, 80 seems fair, he's movement isn't so stiff as a 78 would suggest)
Dribble Accuracy: 78 (He has a decent control over the ball, so 78 like Herrera)
Dribble Speed: 81
Short Pass Accuracy: 76(he plays a regular style of passing, not taking many chances often, so a point shorter than Bataglia seems fair)
Short Pass Speed: 78
Long Pass Accuracy: 77 (His long passing seems a tad better than his short passing, so 77 like Hurtado and Pedro Tiba)
Long Pass Speed: 79
Shot Accuracy: 71
Shot Power: 82
Shot Technique: 68
Free Kick Accuracy: 68
Curling: 72
Header: 73
Jump: 72
Technique: 78 (he isn't clumsy at all, so at least 78 like Babanco, one point lower than Tiba)
Aggression: 80
Mentality: 80 (We will see him often on the field fighting for the ball, pushing his team forward, so 80 just 2 points lower than André André)
Keeper Skills: 50
Teamwork: 80 (maybe could be lower, but since he works as the link in midfield i gave him as much as Oliver, on the edge of an yellow number)

ATTACK / DEFENCE AWARENESS: 3/2

NEW STATS:
Attack Prowess: 73 (as much as Danilo and André André)
Defense Prowess: 65 (as much as Pizzi and Pedro Tiba)

Next we have Ewerton, Dener's partner most of the times, and team camptain whenever he was on the starting eleven. Although with simillar role as Dener, Ewerton has a mor classy style of play, more technically advanced, with nice passing, and with a taste to go up the field with the ball on his feet.

Acceleration: 82
Response: 78 (like Barge and Tarantini)
Agility: 80
Dribble Accuracy: 82 (Paulo Machado has 82 DA, 81 TEC and 79 AGI, Danilo Silva has 82 DA, 80 TEC and 82 AGI, so a combination of 82 DA, 79 TEC and 80 AGI seems fair)
Dribble Speed: 82(as I said before, he has a tendency to run with the ball, having played as a winger before, and can gain a decent momentum with teh ball, hence the DS higher than TS)

Now we have the most defensive of the most used midfielders: Pedro Sá. A very nice surprise whose performances flutuated the least. In spite he played DM most of the times, he is very weel capable of playing higher on the pitch, and can display long range shoots as seen againts Porto for the Portuguese Cup. In terms of passing he is the most composed player Portimonense has, aggressive enough, he isn't as composed as a DM should be, making many fouls, but by the end of the season he seemed more composed, performing many decisive tackles and pass cuts, let's see how he plays next year.

Nationality: Portuguese _por
Age: 24 (01/12/1993)

Height: 177 cm
Weight: 70 kg

Injury Tolerance: B
Foot: L
Side: B

Attack: 63
Defence: 70 (Yebda has 71, Bouba and Samaris have 72, Danilo Silva has 73, so I think he deserves 70, since he isn't as relliable defensivelly as those players, and prone to making many fouls)
Balance: 77
Stamina: 82
Top Speed: 74 (as much as Oliver)
Acceleration: 73
Response: 78 (as much as Tarantini and William, he may come short in terms of tackling but he can read the oposition game quite well)
Agility: 75
Dribble Accuracy: 76 (Danilo Pereira has 75, Vukcevic has 77, so I rate him in the middle, he is very composed on the ball even though he plays as DM, given the ladders it could be even higher, but many of the values in our league are overrated)
Dribble Speed: 74 (he doesn't run with the ball, as sson as he has it he passes it to a team mate, either with short passes or long passes)
Short Pass Accuracy: 78 (as much as Yebda, Fejsa and Petrovic)
Short Pass Speed: 76
Long Pass Accuracy: 77 (as much as Fejsa, Danilo Silva and Pedro Tiba)
Long Pass Speed: 74 (he can switch side very well, but if he tries long distances the ball falls short)

And finally we have Fede Varela, Porto's youngster who played the second half of the season at Portimonense. It's not like he disapointed there, but we had hopes he would do better, even though he did secured a starting place later, sometimes on the MF, other as a winger. maybe a second spell there for a full season could be better for him. When he left Porto B, he was one of the top scorers, but didn't managed to score even once, but it's not like he didnt tried, using one of his strongest points: long range, but his aim was off. His passing wasn't anything great, but he was able to display his good technique and drible.

Because normally in PES there are only Porto, Benfica and Sporting available and not the whole league like PES13.

Now I'll be posting some of the remaining players for Portimonense, those that I was able to have a clear notion of the player itself.

First we have Bruno Tabata, a young brasilian talented player, plays mostly as a winger. His most significant atitributes are his dribble and agility, he can change direction while running without losing much speed. Despite that, he doesn't do that very often, many times he chooses to deliver a pass or a center. Here is a video of his feats this season.

Spoiler: show

Attack: 72 (Lucas Vásques and Hernani have 73, Januzaj and Jesús Navas have 72)
Defence: 52 (like Cervi, Robben and James Rodríguez)
Balance: 71 (Like Carlos Mané and Hernani)
Stamina: 78 (as much as Otávio, Héldon, Brahimi, Isco...)
Top Speed: 81 (as much as Asensio and Lallana, 1 point faster than Corona)
Acceleration: 84 (as much as Asensio and Otávio)
Response: 74
Agility: 83 (as much as Lallana, Bernardeschi and Iuri Medeiros)
Dribble Accuracy: 82 (as much as Cristian Tello, Hernani, Salvador Agra)
Dribble Speed: 83 (the same as Diogo Viana and Cervi, among others)
Short Pass Accuracy: 74
Short Pass Speed: 73
Long Pass Accuracy: 79 (Miguel Pedro has (LPA/LPS) 79/77, Agra has 78/75, Otávio has 78/76)
Long Pass Speed: 76
Shot Accuracy: 69
Shot Power: 77 (not much power in his shots)
Shot Technique: 73
Free Kick Accuracy: 73 (i gave him a decent value because he also can take some free kick, but he never tries to aim the goal, just to center)
Curling: 79
Header: 65
Jump: 67
Technique: 81 (the same as Hurtado, Carlos Mané, Renan Bressan, David Simão)
Aggression: 77

Now we have Wellington Carvalho, one of the few players that were signed this season. As the beggining he was an important player, making almost always the starting eleven, but as the season progressed he lost some spotlight to players like Fede Varela, Tabata and specially Nakajima. For example he only started 4 of the last 15 matches, although he was often the firts choice to come out of the bench, and odd enough, he scored the majority of his goals during this period. He showed to be a player that appears well in the box to finish, and he likes to take the chance and shoot, other than that not much is of relevance, a decent player for our league that can be useful.

Wilson Manafá, yet another skilfull winger to come from Sporting's youth system. We can say he is a bit of a inferior version of Gelson Martins. Like Gelson, his main asset is his speed and ability to run at full speed and being able to chance course while evading defenders without loosing much speed. Unfortunatilly for him (and Portimonense) his technical ability isn't on par with his physical ones... Vítor Gonçalves didn't changed much his starting eleven, and rarely Manafá was on the first choices, being placed behind Nakajima, Paulinho (before leaving for Porto), Wellington, Tabata, and even Fede Varela played there also ahead of him. He only started 3 times a match in the portuguese league, and was used 15 times from the bench. Things even started to come nicelly for him as he made 2 assists in hte first 4 games he was used, a bit like a secret weapon, but since then he wasn't abble to make any influence in the score line (not as a scorer nor with an assist).

Pires, one of the most important players that contributed to the teams ascension to the first league beeing the teams top scorer. But this year, and since age isn't stoping, he played a more secundary role, starting most matches from the bench and leaving the CF place to Fabrício, who isn't a striker per se, but performed beutifully. Pires is a classic fox in the box type of player, always lurking for a scoring chance, and even though he was a second choice he ended the league with 7 goals scored in just 872 minutes, not a bad average. Only Fabrício with 15 and Nakajima with 10 goals scored more.

Fabrício, the team's top scorer, who's leaving them to join Urawa Reds in Japan in his second adventure there for a 5M deal (a real jackpot for a team like Portimonense). He assumed the teams scoring duties and they didn't come underserved, as Fabrício was one of the leagues top scorer, just behind Jonas, bas Dost and Marega (all playing for the big 3 teams) and tied with Raphinha from Vitória Guimarães and Aboubakar from Porto. But Fabrício's play isn't just the goals he scores, no... That's just the tip of the iceberg, as he is a very skillful player, and very technical. I remember when they played against Benfica he left Luisão completelly standing and went to score what was then the leading goal (Benfica eventually reversed the score and won). Now we have what i consider to be the weakest link in the team, their defence. Portimonense finished the league with the fifth best attack with 52 goals scored, just behind the big 3 (Porto, Benfica and Sporting) and Sporting Braga, more and more closer to those big 3 than the other teams. But Portimonense also had also the 3rd worst defense, conceding a total of 60 goals, worst than them only Estoril who conceded 61 (and was relagated) and Setúbal who conceded 62 goals. It's clear that the team didn't reached a higher place due to it's lack of of its defence. That's not to say that their defenders are weak, but it just shows that offensive minded team they have. 10 of their 60 goals conceded where in both games against Porto, since Portimonense favours and offensive type of play, it wasn't hard for Porto, a team that likes to press uo front and make swift attacks, to dismount their defense.

First is Lucas Possignolo, a product of São Paulo's youth, a strong CB, with good anticipation skills. Posesses decent position and a good elevation, usefull in the oposing box aloowing him to score a few goals.

Now is Emma Hackman, CB by nature but can perform well as RB, and played there all season, benefiting of Ricardo Pessoa's injury, but managed to hold the spot when the later returned from his injury. Evolved immensilly his game this season, adjusting his play to move forward many times and was a usefull player in the right wing, not always delivering precise centers but his physical disposition and speed were ver helpfull.

This video is from previous years, and I didn't payed attention at all to it when making his stats, only the games I saw of Portimonense, I just posted it to introduce the player.

And finally, the player I had high hopes in, bellieved he could devellope into an important player in Porto but is dellaying his affirmation on the portuguese teams. I had a set done years ago when he was still playing for Porto B, but had to tone down a bit because he didn't showed all that while at Portimonense, let's hope next season, playing in this team from the beggining will help him stablish himself definitelly in the firs team. I Didn't see that many games of him in portimonense because he only arrived in january to replace Lumor who left to join Sporting, and he not always played in the starting eleven, some times it was Rúben Fernandes who played there.

And that's all... There are other players that played some time in the team but I don't have a complet set at the moment, Jadson spent most of the season injured, I only saw like 3 or 4 full matches of him, the same for Marcel. Others like Stanley and Theo Ryuki or Rui Costa only played a few minutes, not enough to make anything.

P.S.-sorry if the videos don't appear, I copyed the link and clicked the "youtube" botton, if only the link appears and not the video itself, sorry :)

Thanks for all the effort da_ni. I can only offer some thoughts on Fabrício. He was rumored for Olympiakos a little while ago and i was curious about him because of his transition from an AM to a competent SS/CF hybrid which is unusual.

Just based on my impressions from a thorough check through season's highlights and personal compilations i really like your set and i believe it's a fairly accurate representation of him. You've captured the nuances of his game like his Ment, TW, his accurate position as an SS. Your values for his speed attributes and DA 82 with trickster look great also, i was impressed by his fluidity as a player overall. Without being a speedster, a creative genius or a great technician he seems competent in a variety of situations, utilizing a great burst of speed, surprisingly effective dribbling and unpredictability.

Something i see a little differently is his Balance. My first thought based on looks and playstyle was of a lanky SS but he really surprised me with his physical prowess which i found comparable to a very athletic CF. That included a good burst and agility but also strength and a physically confrontational aspect to his game, absolutely painful for defenders to shrug off. He looked closer to 83 to me tbf. I'd also say he's a tad faster, just a +1 and a tad lower DS to correspond to that ( as in TS 81 DS 80 ) .

Secondly his short passing is very solid as you mentioned and he seemed very casual about opening up play to the sides from a 10-15 meter distance as well as playing with passes in the final third. I had noted him at SPA 78/ SPS 76 . It's might also be worth mentioning i didn't see anything in his long passing, in frequency or ability. It might have been partly because of the specific highlights but i noted him as having a clear and distinct preference for ground passing.

Last thing is his free kicks. I don't remember his exact numbers in Portugal but i noted he's scored several free kicks during his career and that he was very competent in his placement. I'd also give him something more for Curl despite it not being very prevalent in his free kicks as he does incorporate it into his shots. I think he's well worth FKA 78 snd Curl 78.

Keep it up :!:

I'd also say he's a tad faster, just a +1 and a tad lower DS to correspond to that ( as in TS 81 DS 80 ) .

Maybe I overlloked his balance a bit. One thing about him is that he has a tendency to fall quite easilly at times, although he does struggles a lot during a game.

Houy wrote:Secondly his short passing is very solid as you mentioned and he seemed very casual about opening up play to the sides from a 10-15 meter distance as well as playing with passes in the final third. I had noted him at SPA 78/ SPS 76 . It's might also be worth mentioning i didn't see anything in his long passing, in frequency or ability. It might have been partly because of the specific highlights but i noted him as having a clear and distinct preference for ground passing.

About his passing, you're right, he can open up play quite easilly. The reason why I didn't had it higher was to ballance in the team, as I was whatching Portimonense play, there were 2 players that I feel where the best in the passing department, Shoya Nakajima and Pedro Sá, then we have Ewerton and Dener, but these 2 some times are too confident in their passing skils and the ball is intercepted (note that I didn't gave any passing number higher than 80 in SP to any player). But it is true that he seemed a confidente ground passer, so I'll keep your sugestions too, that way he'll be on par with Pedro Sá in the team.

Houy wrote:Last thing is his free kicks.

About his FK i'm not so shure, I don't remember all the games at the moment, he may have taken one or 2, but not successfully. The FK takers in the team were Nakajima, Tabata, Ricardo Pessoa, then Rafa Soares when he arrived to the team, but not Fabrício, so if he can take FK he didn't showed this season.

I'll keep all your sugestions and edit my post, apart from FKA ok? Later if he shows that ability to score from FK we can always change it ;)

Agains, thanks very much for your insight on this player.

P.S. sorry for this stupid question, but can you tell me why isn't any of the videos I posted appearing?

Sounds good _tick

Just remove the s and it will work

, it's a common issue.

I was going to ask about your thoughts on Nakajima but you've posted a set already :) . He really caught my eye with his shooting and all around technical ability but i didn't look into him further. Maybe i'll check him out some more later.

Please do, maybe a overdid him a bit, but he really is a very good player. I'l edit that post to add some footage of him and his skils. I doubt very much Shoya will remain there for another year, he clearly has the potential and quality to play for bigger teams.
