And another thing about his defense i saw the leaders in their position in that aspect and maybe he need an update in that stats for me he's better in that aspect than simao, lafita maybe at level of turan or eliseu. for me between 55-58 is a good value for him.

Agree about DEF, he needs an improve, don´t know how, but at least 3 points. Or maybe improve his TW and DEF leaves like this.

I fail to see why he needs any kind of upgrade in DEF. He's never been good in terms of ball-winning skills, he's no good in terms of tackling. He just tracks back a lot and helps at pressuring the opposition... but that doesn't have anything to do with DEF, it's achieved via a high Stamina rating, the ATT/DEF awareness in the latest PES games and team tactics in the old gen.

Not really following him lately but he either needs a drastic upgrade in stamina or to implement a bloodlust button to press when playing against barca? Never seemed out of gas..

I agree. He did track back a lot, but also made silly fouls trying to recover the ball.

The thing is, his pressure is retarded. He goes and run after players that are out of his reach and can simply lol at his face by passing back so he wastes his stamina way too fast during real games.

I really doubt that. Konamis def ratings have always been indicative of how much they defend. It's always been there, strikers who hardly defend with very low defense ratings, smf's/cf's who defend a lot with very high rating. I really doubt it's changed in 2013. We always had def awarness in the old games, except we had more options; super def, def, bal, off, super off. And we/konami have always rated def in that way inspite of these options.

We all know the higher a players stat is the more likely the AI is to use it. As such, we are pretty safe assuming if we give them more def, they are gonna defend more.

With "old games" I meant PES 5 or 6, the old gen. There was no att/def awareness then. Anyway until 2010 (which first introduced the def/bal/off thing, I think) everybody was probably just too eager to defend. I mean if you play against Barça in PES 5 with the default team tactics, you can see Xavi (who always had a good stamina rating) running around forth and back during all the match, defending a lot more than what he does IRL.

Yes I know Konami has always tended to give higher DEF ratings to offensive-oriented players who participate actively in defensive tasks... but there's a reasonable logic behind it. Eto'o tracked back and did much more defending than i.e. Ronaldo so he had much more opportunities to show his defensive skills, thus he was rated higher. TBH, through several matches I've seen Ronaldo tracking down once in a while and he usually did a decent job when helping in such matters, yet he was always rated at... 30-32? I think. Then again, I find it logic that Eto'o would have a way higher DEF value, because he defended much more, and as such, it was far easier to notice his defensive work.

In any case, right now, if we want Di María to defend more ingame, we just have to raise his def awareness (pes 2012/13), or just give him a "Balanced" att/def ratio in 2010/11 (the high agg means he will still be offensive-minded when needed). As for the old gen, it's a mere thing of team tactics, the right winger in Madrid current formation is needed to provide defensive support (Callejón does as well when placed there).

I can't simply agree with raising Di María's DEF... he's actually pretty bad in terms of tackling/marking, he doesn't really know how to defend, even if he pressures a lot it's usually in a little effective way.

I don't have a opinion about his Def, but LPS seems low yellow material, he makes some passes with pretty good range and speed, crossing the field and stuff...

Did anybody see him playing at La Paz at 3600 m.? Just a beast. After that, i think he needs an improve for STA and TW.
What Korinov said me about DEF, I saw it vs. Bolivia.

I'm the only one who thinks its KP is more high?
In today's game he made one shot (intercepted, or in the direction of an opponent) very powerful! :?

KP isn't about he can do it's about an average of he displays in some matches and he does very weak shots very often to deserve greater KP.
Also, if you point de D-pad in the direction of the opposite goal when you shot, you can do hard shots without a great KP.
