Back in those days I was assigning absolutely different values and using different ladders when rating speed stats. Somewhere along the way I stoped to care and started just giving them the PSD values. I gotta say that I was very pleased with the overall pace of the game back then, but as you guys know, I've always been using PES 2010, so maybe the pace feels different in the other PES games. But yes, I still stand to my arguments back then, they are absolutely still reliable and applicable imo.

And as far as 2010-12 sets Top Speed is only 1 point above your own assignement. But ds for that eras is definetely overrated. It doesn't make sense that 2012 and 2009 Messi are rated the same in that department (considering significant difference in ts and acc). Even without looking at other sets, ladders high reds for post WC2010 Messi is an exaggeration and seems like we haven't seen how he has been evolving as a player. From a speedster to a true master of ball control.

You must be CR7...
speed?

His 18years old speed must be 87/95.
Also 2010/11 speed must be 84/96.

Please don't be jealous to Godsi.

I'm a Messi fan. But I never saw his speed higher than 84 TBH.

Ts values in all sets are pretty much spot on IMO. But as I said earlier this year viewtopic.php?f=188&t=9995&start=80#p537356 we may change da, ds, acc, agility a little bit

if there's stats for 14-15 (which was a turning point in his game) it's worth mentioning his physical condition improved. went to a nutritionist and changed his diet drastically, no red meat/gluten and he looked far more invigorated on the pitch, and you can see in his face he's less chubby than he'd been for a few years

Agree. Maybe 85 as max, but with red DS he's already a monster with the ball on his feet, which is his main strenght, he isn't that fast in long runs without the ball... no idea how he does it, but he's always faster with the ball than without it. Besides that speed thing (probably could be on 83-84), sets look perfect. You can start a war talking about his SA and comparing him with R9 to see if Ronaldo was actually better than him... but it's just one damn point.

95 SPA? Really ? 88-90 With can perfectly emulate His SPA (2011-2012 ) . He's very accurate , but most of His passes are based on His Ability to lose defenders (Agility, Top Speed and Dribble Speed ), and then he can make his passes . With 95, he's on pair With Zidane , Zico or Totti ... and he is not. They make passes without thinking . Messi is good , but not at 95. With This stats, he is the best player ever in every aspect

88-90 With can perfectly emulate His SPA (2011-2012 )

Techincally, you can do basically anything with any value, but not consistently. 90 is the breaking point for through balls from the mid finding their marker, 92/93 brings this up massively, and 95 puts you into the category where you are able to do it relativley consistently, for a player with lower sps messi's passes are in the 93/94+ range.

but most of His passes are based on His Ability to lose defenders (Agility, Top Speed and Dribble Speed )

The other stats have no relevance to his passing accuracy or invention. And I just can't agree to blanket statementing his passing like that and just sweeping his ability aside, just off the top of my head I know of this assit that is a first touch/pass https://youtu.be/_9vKhIbYSfM?t=1

With 95, he's on pair With Zidane , Zico or Totti ... and he is not. They make passes without thinking . Messi is good , but not at 95

I won't comment on Zico much, I was never very impressed by his spa, much more so by the rest of his game. Zidane is nowhere near the passer messi is... zidane is so well covered too that their can't be any romanticizing about his ability like older classic players who are much harder to analyze due to lack of footage. Zidane was a good passer, and made some truly incredible passes, but his consistency was far below messi as was his creativity with them and even vision. You can easily search vs vids on youtube for zidane, then do the same for messi in the last 2 years or so. You'll see zidane make 1 pass like that every few games, messi some times many in a single game.

Totti

Hes such a completly differnt type of passer is not comparable. Totti is in the greatest of all time category passers. Hes just got basically insane vision and long passing technique, his short passing has never been been consistently good enough to be red though, or even close... he has it more so as a means to seperate what he is from others in game. His style can't really be replicated. Totti is totti, but messi does much more with his short passing and I'm pretty sure theres statistics out there for that too.

I'm not really sure how anyone can doubt his passing at this point, just look on youtube, hes covered more than anyone, there is a billion complilations and highlight reels of his passing, even seasonal ones. One of the reasons there is so many, is because he does it so much its simply absurd.

Maybe you're right . I forgot SPS and LPS, it's just that they do not exist in pes 2015 ( and others like Aggression , Mentality , Shot Technique and Acceleration ), then it is difficult to put these STATS from pes13 to pes15

and Thank you for answering so quickly

why are his speed stats so much higher in the first set? it's seems like a trend with some of the classic players, but players don't peak physically at 18... it doesn't look right that he's slowed than so much by 23

If seen a little overrated in DA and DS In his 2004/2006 era he was a young talent but not to post 96 if the same overral that pele , i think that 92-93 is his best later well be come the best player in history
But I have seen il Fenomeno do things that nobody else has ever done. -Kaka

He always looked like 85 TS and red ACC to me.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. First question, why don't we have the stats for 14-15? I mean that's a pretty decent season for him and probably his best. Thank you :)

Ain't the 10-11 and 11-12 sets enough alike (and close in time) to be merged on a big 10-12 set?

Yes probably, and there's no need for him to have a separate set for the 2012 year/season.

I missed quite the time. Why does he have 99 DA over Maradona? I understand that he's probably GOAT close control, but I can't see Diego being one full point below any player in DA.

BTW, is there any other player that could have 99 DA? I think about Matthews, but saw too few of his footage.

Awesome. It's strange now watch this Messi. How sad is the fact he played only less than 2 years with Riquelme? They reached Copa America final and won 2008 Olympics before Román's retirement from NT. I wonder how much better would be both of them playing more together, they were just insanely great.

Just as a side note watching this, doesn't he seem insanely strong covering the ball? Taking into account at that time he was a little thin dwarf lol

EDIT:
Awesome speed https://youtu.be/MWQmjrnMtRU?t=309
Nice pass https://youtu.be/MWQmjrnMtRU?t=496

there is no 12-13 set for him. his 12-13 set would be similiar to his 11-12, except sa could be 99
