Spoiler: show
Michael Ballack (born 26 September 1976) is a German professional footballer, who is currently playing for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. He is among the top goal scorers in the history of his international team. Ballack has worn the number 13 shirt for every team he has played for except for Kaiserslautern. He was selected by Pelé as one of FIFA's 100 Greatest Living Players, and as the UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year in 2002. He has won the German Footballer of the Year award three times – in 2002, 2003 and 2005.

Ballack began his career as a youth at Chemnitz, his local team, and made his professional debut in 1995. Although the team were relegated in his first season, his performances in the Regionalliga the following season led to a transfer to Kaiserslautern in 1997. He won the Bundesliga in his first season at the club; his first major honour. He became a first team regular in 1998–99 season and also earned his first senior national cap for Germany. He moved to Bayer Leverkusen for €4.1 million in 1999. The 2002 season saw him win a slew of runners-up medals: Bayer Leverkusen finished second in the Bundesliga, German Cup, UEFA Champions League and Germany lost to Brazil in the 2002 World Cup Final.

A €12.9 million move to Bayern Munich led to further honours: the team won the Bundesliga and German Cup double in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Ballack had become a prolific goalscorer from midfield, scoring 58 goals for Bayern Munich between 2002 and 2006. He joined Premier League club Chelsea in mid-2006 and won his first English honours, the FA Cup and League Cup, in his first season at the club. Injury ruled out much of 2007 but he returned the following season, helping Chelsea reach their first ever Champions League Final.

Internationally, Ballack has played in the European Championships in 2000, 2004 and 2008, and the FIFA World Cup in 2002 and 2006. Jürgen Klinsmann appointed him captain of the national team in 2004. Ballack scored consecutive game-winning goals in the quarter-final and semi-final to help his country to the 2002 World Cup Final, and led his team to the semi-finals of the 2006 World Cup and the Euro 2008 Final.

When i first saw this stats i thought "oohh where is *playmaking*.
But then i thought about Ballacks time at Bayern and i rembered the problems he got to lead the team in important Champions League games. He wasn´t the chief like in Leverkusen or at German National Team. For sure good stats! :)
@native speakers: I want to improve my English! So please correct me (via PM) if there is something absolutely wrong in my posts and not an obvious typing error... Thanks!

nice stats indeed ;) only things i disagree are swerve and technique. For swerve i would suggest 80 arround Gerrard's area, as for technique i would say 87, a talented footballer with a nice touch but he had much better qualities than his touch. With 90 he's only 2 points behind Pirlo.

At this time wasn't his peak imo. It should be changed in 2004 till 2006.

He himself says he improved his game in London... Do you really think he was by far better in TECH 6 years ago? Usually players do not loose this skill when getting older. Overall the classic Ballack is too far away from the current one. But I guess the unrealistic stats are a general problem of the classic section.

Always underrated is his TS. I do repeat myself, but at the EC in Austria/Switzerland he was one of the 10 fastest players with a top speed of 30.88 km/h...

and well u did. Maybe stamina and DS r a couple points too high as well no? I mean, with 90 for mentality stamina won't be a big issue.

this could do with a tweak here and there,

stamina for instance could be bumped up, short pass speed could be bumped down and just wondering was he really that slow?

I think he should also have P10 - Box-to-Box. He would run around all over the place (especially in his Bayer Leverkusen days) joining attacks and helping his defence when required.

However, I must admit I did not see a frequent deal of him during his Bayern days (only his national team performances) and cannot say for sure whether he should he entitled to this card.

In general very good set but I have never seen him playing on side. And also his ts should come up to low-mid yellow. He had awful acceleration but on longer distance he could reach really nice speed. It's not an accident that he's been measured as one of the fastest footballer on euro 08'.

Yes im with you on that aspect, i think that he was faster, he had some problems to reach his TS because of his lack of ACC, i think that his current value for ACC is ok, but his TS can easily come up to 82-83.

I'd agree with your views about his TS guys. So what do you think? An 82 is sufficient?

his first years in chelsea he was always moving at a slow speed. could you show any examples of his TS? I'm sure he could reach high values, but he almost never did it at chelsea... based on early years in chelsea it'd be wrong to give him a TS that he rarely displayed. AS TS isn't just TS... its the regular speed they displayed.

We're not talking about Chealse's Ballack. There is no such a set in PSD right now.
