INFO:
Spoiler: show
Miroslav Josef Klose born on 9 June 1978 in Opole, Poland, is a German footballer who will play in the 2011–12 season as a striker for Lazio in the Serie A. Since bursting onto the international stage with five goals at the 2002 World Cup, he has become well-known for his knack of scoring headers, front-flip goal celebrations, and decisive short passing. He was a mainstay in Bayern's starting 11 before injuries took him out of the team for a while; during his convalescence, Croatian Ivica Olić filled in and replaced Klose as Louis van Gaal's first-choice striker.

Klose holds German nationality and has played 109 times and scored 61 goals for Germany. With five goals, he was the top scorer and Golden Boot winner at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Klose also scored five goals in his debut World Cup, the 2002 World Cup in Korea and Japan, all of which were headers. He scored against Australia in his first game of the 2010 World Cup, opened the scoring against England in the first round of the knockout stages, and scored twice on his 100th cap against Argentina in the quarter-finals, giving him a total of 14 World Cup goals and putting him joint second along with Gerd Müller on the list of FIFA World Cup goalscorers, but one behind all-time top scorer Ronaldo of Brazil.

Klose is the first German player since reunification to finish as the World Cup's top scorer. He is also the only player to have scored five or more goals in consecutive World Cups, as well as the only player to have scored at least four in three different tournaments; he scored five at the 2002 and 2006 tournaments and four at the 2010 finals.

These stats are so overrated and unneeded :?

Did you ever saw him at Werder Bremen? He wasn't better in this time than today.

The currently Klose should have 85 in SA. And only because it's classic that doesn't mean you must raise all stats.

He is of course overrated here. Trust me ;)

Exactly ;). I don't even think current day stats should be considered when making classics, then you rate them on what you truly believe they deserve.

i do both, i take the current set as a base, watch old games, youtube clips etc and see what i think they deserve, this stops me underating/overating stats like speed, balance etc

I must agree that he is well overated, but I have to disagree with Vandeach about the not-existance of a classic-actual balance. Players don´t change that much over the years, they slightly gain or loose some qualities. However, there are always extreme cases, such as the classic Guti I made (2001-20002) and the current Guti, being a multifunctional player, he drasticly changed from an *SS/CF to an *AM/SS over the years, so a full research was needed, not to mention the amazing improveness of his passes, you can compare them both and see for urself, they may not be perfect, but is was as close as I could get to representing the "Old Guti". Now, in cases such as Klose's, he's always been a classic CF, he still is and will be a CF, understand? All that he needs to do is check again, because he got a little too carried away (chelseakid), but I think his method is quite accurate...

i know i often overate player but all you need to do is state whats wrong and i will fix (unless i believe the vlaue i have used is correct in which case i will compromise like i did for robert kovac, i thought he deserved 90/91 for defense others thought 86 so i went with 88)

Well, chelseakid, first of all, keeper skills should never be -, cause if someone it´s going to create the player they have to add some value, and not everyone knows the average is 50, also there are field players like Terry who also plays as keeper and are over the 50 line. That being said, I don´t think he´s so accurate with his bad foot, I´d suggest something ´round 5-6. Regarding Special abs, I´d add *1-1 Scoring, he was quite fearsome back in his Weder Bremen days, really feared.

Now, abilities that I'd change:

Attack: 90
TS: 87
ACC: 86
Response: 93
Agility: 83
DS: 82
SPA: 76
SPS: 77
SAcc: 89
SPower: 82
STech: 90
AGG: 89 (He was out to eat the world)
Header: 92
Jump: 93

That's all, mate. Hope to be of some help. ;)

I don't know I still think he could be around God Region for Header, id say he was the best header in the world in his prime and is up there with the best headers in the last 10-15 years with Jardel, Borgetti, Bierhoff, Morientes and McBride.

His TW is far too high as is his Long passing, he was never great in that area. His jump should be around 96, no I'm not joking, Klose had a phenomenal leap and was leaps and bounds(geddit ;)) ahead of nearly every other player in this area. On par with today's Timmy Cahill is completely justified, and this is coming from an Everton fan.

What about his Shot Accuracy?

It's still overrated imo. David Villa is a better finisher for sure.

I suggest 87.

hang on heres some suggestions how do these sound

Long Pass Accuracy: 74
Long Pass Speed: 73
1 point above today

Top Speed: 86
Acceleration: 87
1 point above today

Shot Accuracy: 88
2 or 3 points above what current klose should have

and seeing as they have agree TW 86 is fine for curent klose then it should stay at 87 here
