i don't thimk he was such a great defender, pretty consistent but i'd drop defense and response a couple points each. that team scored a lot but they didn't had a perfect defense.
btw, didn't he played DMF primarily in Cruyff's "dreamteam"?

I think he was more CB than DMF, but I'm agree to lowering defence and response, 85 for defence and 84 for response, 'cause I think that his positioning it's better than his reaction, and with these numbers he continues beeing a great defender.

nop, Koeman was the DM, with Nadal playing as a CB in the center of the 3 player defense

BTW, ive seen his enormous stamina, and, tbh, and dony know what i was thinking when i rated it  ive currently got it at 85 in my OF

You could increase his stamina, at least to 89, he was a player that runned a lot at the field, and didn't get very tired (that was one of his virtues)

I also think his BB should be graeter that his defence, he was a very strong player, and, in my opinion, his force was greater than his capacity to position himself in the pitch

I agree with you, was a much stronger player than the ratings show, his defense was based on the fighting spirit, endurance and strength, not a skilled defense.
Little evidence of his not-so-great defense.

Stats should also be re-evaluted if were updating more 'dream team' players. Like p1rha and Xyder said he never this great in defence more an enforcer who relied more on his strength and work ethic who could also comfortably play as a DM.

Suggestions from the thread:

Def: 85
Balance: higher ( maybe a swap with Def)
Response: 84
Stamina: 89?

Agreed, but DEF at 85 seems even a bit high IMO, I rated César Martín at 85 for his prime and I have no doubt that César was actually a better defender than Nadal. 84 or even 83 would be more accurate, some of his concentration lapses were legendary. As far as I remember Nadal was a 'puyolesque' tipe of defender, pure fighting spirit, but I'd rate Puyol actually better in terms of defensive intelligence and abilities. To be honest, I'd stick to 83, I don't see Nadal two points over Koeman. On the other hand, a raise in Ment maybe should be in order, something close to oranges would be ok. And I wouldn't be so harsh at downgrading Response, he was actually pretty good at it (sometimes making up for his defensive lapses), I'd say 85/86.

The era is just wrong. 1991 - 92 was actually one of his less important seasons at Barcelona. I suppose it was set this way because that's the year in which Barça won the CL, but extrictly in regards to Nadal a 1992 - 1996 era would be more convenient: http://www.bdfutbol.com/en/j/j2045.html

As far as I know, CB became his main position in his late 20s/early 30s. Before that, he was mostly a tenacious DM.

Second, he was a beast when going forward on set pieces.
If current Diego Lugano has ATT 68, I must tell you Nadal was, at least, as dangerous on set pieces as Lugano is nowadays.

Finally: At times he could put powerful shots with some accuracy on them. SA may reach high 60s, whereas his ST must be in mid 60s. SP is ok in its current value.
