INFO:

Nominally Jałocha was a midfielder for club, but during international duty either a right or a left back. Being only any good on his right foot he tended to be a flustered character on the left wing, the burden of passing his way forward with his left was too much for him as he often would cut back onto his right in search of an outlet - however in such occasions he did have the greater opportunity to satisfy his need to cut-in and shoot, often wastefully, on goal. He had the look about him of a brainless player when the tempo was slow and he was left with too much time to think, only when the action picked up and play began to swing back and forth he entered his element with bustling energy, a hunger to get forward, and an appetite to win the ball back.

Played primarily for Wisła Kraków for over a decade, appearing in 276 matches and scoring 21 times, during this period he made all of his 28 international appearances for Poland, scoring once. After 1986 he moved to the lower levels of German football ending his career by 1997, interestingly though he has made a few comebacks to football at those lower levels, most recently during the 2006/2007 season.

"They pleaded with him - move, let me through, get out the way!
Yet he did not take a step back, our Jasiu Jałocha.
