Classic Section Revamp Project

Postby Albo7 » 2016 May 18, 21:59

I'm starting this by saying that unfortunately we have lost most of the work we had on the pre 60s era because of technical problems. I do sincerely apologize to anyone who contributed and I beg anyone who's got any of those sets to contirbute by posting them/ messaging them to me. Please note that we'll be working only on the most well known players first, and on players that were better worked on, so keep that in mind by selecting the work and removing dubious sets along the way.

Now, I wanna profit from this bad situation, since a load of work in there was really dubious, and since it's no more in here, I wanna rework on the classic section, I wanna reshape it into something that it really wasn't before. In my own OF I've got a shitload of classic teams, with sets of stats that were mainly for my use only. I worked on them by using a combination of the scarce footage and various material that I could find, and I used the sets of stats on the famous PES 2010 Classic Gold Patch as a start, by then shaping them to much usable sets with tiny bit of info I had. Now keep in mind that these were sets meant to be used only by me, and in normal circumstances I wouldn't have posted them tbh. They're not sets worked on as I did with Bayern 74-76 in example, but still, they've got our new standards implemented and I'm pretty much sure that they're better than 90% of the material that we lost, without disrespecting the earlier work of course, but most of them were really old and dubious sets. My sets might be wrong on some departments of course, and they might need a lot of feedback.

Now, since PES keeps getting worse, the site wont do any better, and with this project I'm targeting a better and more organized Classic Section, in order to attract more knowledgeable users in here.

This is the list of teams I have, with complete rosters, in random order:

Spoiler: show
1. Liverpool 81-84
2. Chelsea 2008
3. Liverpool 2005
4. Man United 2008
5. Not Forest 78-80
6. Borussia Dortmund 97
7. Juventus 85
8. Real Madrid Galacticos 2002
9. Arsenal Invincibles 2005
10. Inter Mourinho 2010
11. Barcelona Dream Team 92
12. Man Utd 99
13. Milan Dream Team 88-90
14. Bayern Munchen 2013
15. Real madrid 55-60
16. Barcelona 2006
17. Bayern Munchen 2001
18. Man Utd 68
19. Inter 65
20. Milan 94
21. Inter 2002
22. Juve 2003
23. Milan 2003
24. Marseille 93
25. Barcelona 2011
26. Real Madrid 2014
27. Bayern Munchen 74-76
28. Benfica 62
29. Porto 2004
30. Ajax 71-73
31. Ajax 95
32. Napoli 88
33. Roma 2001
34. Cervena Zvezda 91

Of course, I'll be working on the most historical teams which have less players first, Real Madrid 2014 doesn't need any work for example. I'll be starting with Benfica 60-65.

Now this is for the classic mods and for the green mods, anyone who's willing to help can help me alot by putting the stats in the editor for me. I'll copy and paste the stats with wild@s editor in the forum first, so anyone who's willing to help me by putting them in the editor will help me alot. If no one's got time I'll do it myself later.

I hope you guys enjoy what I'll be trying to do.

Let me know how I can help you with your project. I noticed that you had two really interesting teams amongst that list (Inter '65 and Porto '04) those I'm excited about.

Best way to help me right now is by moving the stats I post into the editor. Moving them myself would get forever to post these players. I'll get to Inter 65, as soon as I finish Benfica. :)

Albo just copy my (Nakayama#9) stuff from this forum here, its all up to ''standards'' I just recommand you a few things.
1. Some sets are a little bit dated and should be reworked on
2.3.4.....1000000. Give me credit and if you change things at the stats that you disagree with write ''based on Nakayama#9 stats'' or something like that , thats why it might be better if you are familiar with the players that you will post here to some degree at least.
And I might be a little bit stubborn because I watch tons of footage before I put something out there.

Anyway here are the sets I would recommand you to post which are pretty much up to date and well refined:
Nearly all ''Quinta del Buitre'' era players , especially Gallego , Santillana , Juanito , Michel .... I'm never 100% saddisfied with my work , but I have some explanations ready written to these players stats.

We no longer use any sort of credit system and it has been removed entirely from the forums.

Ok , anyway if you accept my offer and use the sets that you consider as helpful then be sure that you know what to respond if someone asks why certain numbers are assigned.
I didn't copyright or TM my stuff , I mean if you use my stats for your OF you are also guilty of copying no ? maybe some people get angry over it but to those I can only say the usual ''grow up and get a life''

EDIT: Otherwise you can also PM me

Some time ago there was a poll on what version the users play, PES6 won i think if i´m not wrong... a lot of people including myself are editing and maintaining PES6 and use PES6 old format stats so to say the site won´t do any better because Konami keeps doing shite PES versions is not true... the classic PES fans will visit and are using PSD a lot. Mostly all patches use PSD stats currently...

and thanks for classic players in editor, fantastic project for future :)

I am done with Benfica, and I'll be starting with La Grande Inter. With help from the forum I'm sure we'll be reviving the classic section in no time. Fitzcarraldo sent me a bunch of the old players by PM, so it's cool, many of the old sets might be recovered, but I'd rather work in a different way. I'll work on teams one by one, rather than posting random players from random eras. It's more practical, and it gives purpose to the players that are posted in here. Only after I'm done with all my work, I'll start selecting the players that fitzcarraldo gave me by which sets we do need in the forum.

As already stated, we don't use any form of credit anymore in this forum. If I'm not crediting my own work, I don't care about anybody elses tbh. The purpose of this revamp is different, I don't want things to be like it used to, the purpose is helping the PES and football community on a classic database. 5 years from now, if I want to rebuild a classic OF again, I'll have everything ready in here, with the best teams in history represented. This is for myself and for everyone who's a classic football lover. I don't care about credits, or for copycat wars, I want things done. And I'll get them done.

I am using PES 2010 myself, and I'm sure I'll always be using it, no matter how good or bad Konamis PES becomes. :)

It doesn't matter, that's the past. Anyone's who's interested in helping me, can go on and help me, like MagicTrick has done. Who's not interested in that, but's interested on making their own site better, or wants to fight over who is the "most knowledgeable", who's in here for glory hunting, or just wants to troll, can fuck the hell off. I want real help in here, I don't want the bullshit that's happened in the past. I want something better for all the classic football lovers, and all the PES lovers. Who's interested in that, can come in this forum and help me.

1. Some sets are a little bit dated and should be reworked on
2.3.4.....1000000. Give me credit and if you change things at the stats that you disagree with write ''based on Nakayama#9 stats'' or something like that .

I was wondering if we should make a list of era teams that didnt win the big trophies or got into the finals, but are very important for their Clubs History. I know that the „to-do-list“ is already big enough, but maybe some of the guys in here are interested in doing some of the teams. I was thinking about teams like:

Napoli (Maradona era), Arsenal (invincibles) , mourinhos first Chelsea era, reals la Quinta del buitre, the Blackburn Team that won the Pl in 95, Liverpool of the late 80s/early 90s, Cantonas Manchester, Cruyffs Barcelona (as a Player), Maradonas Barcelona, Atletico that won la Liga in the 90s with Simeone etc

What do you think?
