Some rumours say that he's now considering to re-sign for Villa... :|

i'm surprised they released him, he was considered a candidate for the n#1 shirt not so long ago.

And the new coach seems to like Brad, Lambert is probably behind this re-signing idea. I read that Paul believes Brad can challenge for the n. 1 role between the sticks, though, it's not an easy job to challenge for the place with Shay.

Quite honestly would swap his GKS/Def value with Given.
Is better defensively than Given imo.

I agree with mrayamgoreng_12. He has been fantastic this season. He actually has a realistic opportunity of contesting for starting GK for the US national team.

such a safe, technically superb goalkeeper. his strength isn't that he's amazing athletic or reflexive, his reflexes are great, but nothing exceptional. his goalkeeping skills are really excellent, and all the fundamentals are flawless in him. he's a very very solid goalkeeper. gks could be even higher but i haven't seen enough decisive moments to be certain of that.

Now that you talk about his technical features, I've seen his long passing stats to be better than this, and his Kicking Power is way underrated @ 82. Actually his goal kicks are pretty powerful and take a long distance, quite similar to Ben Foster in that aspect of the game.

very impressed by him in the game against LFC... he was the best player of his team imo...saved some great chances and free kicks by Coutinho...

Updated.

Old dog taught new tricks and is now an able passer/ball playing keeper - he has actually made some out standing passes since last season. Plays a little of a sweeper keeper when Atlanta sits in opponents half, but its not a normal part of his style so I dont want to give him the card - just is very able at it.

I often see in comments that Guzan is past it, Atlanta need to get a new keeper...I've tried to watch and see him dropping off, and yes he has had minor blips of handling/lack of reaction but they have been so sparse and overshadowed to me by his consistency and solidity in holding the ball or numerous reaction saves and utterly extinguishing pressure and ending opposition's threatening spells late in matches. I think he is still one of the best in the league ... maybe even the best keeper .. very difficult to pick it out of Melia, Robles, Frei and him.

Tonight made two quality first time passes on sharp balls coming at him, and they were both hit to perfection, bending in air arcing and landing at feet of fullback.

Was a contrasting picture to Bojan who struggled all night to place a ball to a teammate.

Just underlined how he has grown as a passer/player in his mid-30s!
