I guess TW could even be higher, maybe even like 86-87.

He recovered from a big injury and after that he played 29 games that's enough to deserve a B ;)

Hi there I am from Greece and panathinaikos fan. We are in search for a box to box lefty midfielder and our scouters had a trip to holland since you have a bunch of good players there... The names of theo janssen and stijn schaars came up...
So, The thing is that I don't watch eredivisie much and I do not have any opinion about the players except 1-2 games that I saw janssen a bit..

The reporters of my country presents scaars as a better player than Jansen overall... They say that one of his deadly assets is his set pieces (according to your stats he is BY FAR worse than janssen) and compares his style of play mainly defensively with man. City de Jong.. They also say that his nickname is alkmar's gerrard etc...

The thing is that judging from your stats for both players, schaars is by far worse and he in tot even a box to box player!!! To be exact:

Schaars is better at: def +7, TS +3, ACC +4, agility +1, DS +1, header +5, jump +6

Schaars is worse at: att -1, balance -4, stamina -1, response -1, DA -2, SPA -2, LPA -4, LPS -8, SA -1, SP -4, ST -1, FKA -9, curling -7,, tech -2, agg -7,, ment -1

schaars also lack the passing card, the box to box card (even If this is the title of the player we want) and also the bunch of the red passing cards janssen has.. On the other hand he has the one touch play card...

Also schaars thread does not have any updates, suggestions or even comments since ages, so he might be underatted... I want to know what you people that watch eredivisie think about those 2 and figure if reporters here just messing with us!
Thanks!

Reporters are messing with you for sure, Janssen is a far better FK taker. Schaars is not much better than Jansen, only he is more of a teamplayer. He is now way a DM like De Jong, more a controlling central midfielder with a nice pass and good vision. He is a smart guy who plays well for the team. Imo his stats are spot on. Janssen is more a powerhouse, fantastic shot, fantastic LP. Schaars is better for balancing the team between attack and defense. Janssen can change a game while Schaars is more the constant player.

Janssen is quite simply far more dominative in midfield. He likes to take control of the game and dictate the flow of play in a much more direct way, be it with a quality pass into space or a thundering long range drive.

Schaars is really the silent engine of a team. The type of player you'll start to notice when he's absent, mainly because he gives many covert but very important passes. Without Schaars, AZ's midfield lacks a lot of serenity on the ball and their style of play will change from possession-based into end-to-end action. Schaars is the type of player that rarely if ever loses the ball and gives his forwards the opportunity to try and do game-changing things whilst he keeps the midfield in check. He does have a tendency to lose his man in midfield however, often resulting in the opposition having an extra person to give the ball to during a swift counter.
Buon compleanno, il pibe d'oro.
