Re: Nicolás Otamendi

meh, he can take a classic set, sure, but it's not like he was ever excellent. he was good at dictating from that back, fantastic even, but he was still shaky when ever he was really challenged, he never gave off the impression of a solid CB, to rash, too mindless.

Re: Neymar

^ thats an absolutely brilliant post To add a little further to it, when he cuts into the right from so far back, it's not like he can cut out the opposite way, we know he can't really do that well, few can, and when he attempts to do so, he'll usually slow down to a halt and do some tricks before g...

Re: Neymar

He's world-class but beyond the hate, there isn't any question he hasn't lived up to his talent. And these stats here suggest that he has. We've discussed this at length over the years, and how to handle it, he's nowhere near the level he could have been, but his technically is there, and went to a...

Re: Neymar

There are historic playmakers at these values and all of them pass circles around Neymar, and pass deadlier final passes from intricate positions. Oh, do they? Because we've spent years establishing thresholds for passinng greats over the last 30 years, they aren't vague notions of how capable thes...

Re: Virgil van Dijk

Why lower response though? His interceptions are probably his strongest point, he gets to everything before everyone else, almost always. Basically nulls out the attacks before the begin over and over.

Re: Mohamed Salah | 2012-13 | 2015-16 | 2017-18 | 2018-19

You don't really watch Salah do you, or have an idea what his level of touch is like or else you wouldn't be commenting. He is an outlet on the left-hand side for possession coming from anywhere on the pitch due to his insane ability to trap the ball cleanly under basically any circumstance, and his...

Re: Alisson

They may seem a little un orthdox, but that's Alisson to a Tee. Especially the tactical dribble, it's one of his most stand out traits and something hes renowned for, hes a ball playing GK, he is no regular run of the mill keeper. I'll leave further elaboration to vinnie.

Re: Duván Zapata

32% because he basically never shots outside of the penalty area, the guy is not a good shooter. He has no ability to pick up the ball and just shoot, or be on the ball and dribbling and score from a placed shot, he just gets the ball close to goal and blasts it, thats all he can do. He has serious ...

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri

It's hard to say, soon he'll be 28, anywhere he goes will be a step down from liverpool, and he'll essentially need to show his worth again, to make another move to a top team, by then he'll be too old for most top teams to even consider him, hes in a bad way in his carrer. He should probably stay w...

Re: Duván Zapata

I disagree with the current attack/sa values for the reasons I stated. They aren't his strengths, hes not a top tier striker by any means, with this attack I'd expect him to be capable in any top team in the world, does he seem like that sort of player? And regarding his SA, theres no placment, he j...

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

But there's nothing very good about his passing. He has the technique to pass the ball, but his passing is hardly great. And he messes up a lot of simple passes. I literally just showed you a 95 tier SPA pass from him. He doesn't mess up lots of simple passes, he has excellent accuracy. Statistics ...

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

Little to do with his height and high center of gravity. He's physically so exceptional, played his entire life to maximize as a dribbler. of course it's to do with his height and center of gravity, it's everything to do with it. Hes naturally impeded by his physique for dribbling, as are all playe...
