Overall ratings of Historical Teams and: World Cup Winning Champions

I've added the OVRs of the World Cup winning teams from 1958-2018 into the First post. There aren't enough reliable sets for the champions prior to 1958, so they couldn't get an OVR reading done. A handful of sets i made some judgement tweaks in terms of their rating due to having good suggestions s...

Overall ratings of Historical Teams and Teams of the Decades - 1950's-2010's

Here are some Teams of the Decades according to the Overall ratings they get from their PSD sets, and using my Overall Ratings formula [ https://pesstatsdatabase.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=515370#p515370 ]. Seeing as the decade has just closed, here is my team of the decade. I'll also suggest some te...

Re: Mohamed Salah

Well, i don't understand, i showed you a great touch by salah just from saturday, one that is better than the one messi got so much praise and requests for 98 tec for, and i know that salah has made touches like this a few times before. But you still don't agree that 90 tec is fair? i think 88 tec ...

Re: Ederson

I've been reconsidering my opinion on Ederson since a few members now say they saw his old set as too generous, but even upon reconsideration, I still think Ederson is underrated as a goalkeeper.. personally i think he's really good even if you just look at him as a goalkeeper. his DEF, RES, and GKS...

His Tech is already on a 3point overdose look at this touch here: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Nbz0Aw0xgI0&t=0m17s https://youtube.com/watch?v=sGKieC8DQKA&t=0m45s i think the 90 tec is deserved, we've talked about salah's touch quite alot and noticed him making very impressive touches very c...

Re: Bernardo Silva

i can't find it anymore, but there was a beautiful ground through ball bernardo played a few weeks ago. It reminded me of a pass amine brought up from back when bernardo was at monaco: https://youtube.com/watch?v=5SInHHjalCc&t=1m11s - i included the dribbles leading up to the pass since it was a...

Re: Kevin De Bruyne

yes i agree ocrin. phil and i have mentioned this before that he's become very good at dribbling with pace on counter attacks back a year or so ago. I think de bruyne is still underrated here. I don't understand why attack is only 90, he can easily go up to 93. Compared to other generational level A...

Re: Gareth Bale

You described Bale as the most overrated in psd history though, this isn't the same as saying someone has declined and isn't at the same level as they used to be, so that's why i defended his Spurs era DS. You suggested a large downgrade for his classic sets as well from your initial comment, so it ...

Re: Gareth Bale

I don't agree Elivelton, I remember Bale as an outstanding speed dribbler in his prime. He wasn't kick and run, he could dribble very smoothly with a high percentage of his top speed, and he had a level of balance and maneuverability and control that clearly wasn't kick and run. Maybe Bale has decli...

Re: Overall rating Algorithm - Champion's League Knockout Stage - OVR Tests

Here I present overall calculations of each of the Champion's League teams according to the OVR rating each player has with my current OVR formulas- these are 99.99% the same formulas with only very minor tweaks, the biggest change was a scaling adjustment for SBs where for example now Roberto Carlo...

Re: Cristiano Ronaldo

Yeah, i've been skeptical about these comments about Ronaldo's shooting accuracy since moving to juventus because Cristiano has already steadily become such a lethal finisher in the box over the last 5 years. it seemed to me that Cristiano is just using more long range low probability shots- particu...

Re: Oussama Idrissi

i noticed this player through some highlights videos a few weeks ago. Great base set here, i'd say Idrissi is even better in a few areas though. His acceleration is superb. He's also got really good top speed. I see quite alot of movement similarity between Idrissi and Robben. I made that comparison...

Re: Bernardo Silva

I agree with Jmvp; i haven't watched as much Bernardo Silva actually, but i looked around briefly when i saw the update. I didn't really see a 90 DS. He seemed more like mid yellows: 85/86ish? Not sure though, just going off impressions. Bernardo's workrate has looked incredible this season. I wasn'...

Re: Overall rating Algorithm

So keeping in mind the index i referred to previously, and enclosed again below in a spoiler for easy reference, here is an OVR rating ladder of the peak forms of some of the best players and famous legends of football history. 99 Greatest of all time, so far only 3-5 players at this level in footba...

Re: 2010s All Stars

I think there have been enough players that have hit solid periods of form higher than what Silva has ever achieved, who? players like kane/bale etc who'll get more glory naturally for being goal scorers, but who outside of that, Modridc, kross? The only player I'd really have over him would probab...

Re: 2010s All Stars

No, that's something Silva has that rivals anyone. But he's never hit such a level of form that he could really be considered outstanding. I wouldn't use Silva's longevity to consider him the number 3 player of this decade.. he still was too clearly behind iniesta and xavi at the NT level... failed ...

Re: 2010s All Stars

With some players its really hard to determine if they should be in or not: David Silva, Why hard for Silva? He should be automatic number 3 behind Messi and Ronaldo. i don't rate david silva as highly as you do, even though i do think silva should be in- i'd say for pogba. I would not rate Silva a...
