Does this guy need an update? He has been linked with big clubs and these stats dont show why he would.

I think the same too.
He was this Season clearly Stuttgarts best CB, better then Delpierre as well.
Tasci needs an Update no question about it!

I suggest:

DEF: 81 (+2)
BAL: 83 (+1)
LPS: 75 (+1)
Heading: 82 (+3)
Jump: 80 (+1)
Mentality: 79 (+3)

I don't agree with Def: 82.
Therefore should be his Response a bit higher.

Delpierre is on 81 in defense and Tasci got a better defensive game than him. So 82 is ok for him

Well, Tasci has better rates in defending than Delpierre, but I think he needs more to learn how to run in the defence. There, Delpierre has more expierence, but you cannot compare him with Tasci this season as he hasn't played so much this season.
Sometimes he takes wrong routes, which the opponent naturally utilizes. But his positioning in direct duels are really good.
Therefore I think his Response should be higher than his Defence.

Def: 80-81
Resp: 82-83

But Subotic got 81 too and he make more route and run mistakes than Tasci.

The higher the stats is, the better and faster a player is at performing challenges and sliding tackles. With the latter, it also has an influence on how quickly a player can get to his feet. (that is what defense mean) and I think there Tasci is better than Delpierre and Subotic.

I'd seen Subotic on par with Tasci this season.

I think Subotic is better in the air but Tasci is better in a one on one on the ground.

in my opinion Tasci should be rated a bit higher than now.
I see him faster than this (only one point better than delpierre in speed and acceleration doesnt represent him well) because he's quite a dynamic central defender.
So i would suggest to raise both his speed and accelaration to 79 points.

His Defence should go up, too. I dont think he is 3 points worse than Höwedes. (An Indicator might be the won tackles last season: Höwedes won 60,79 % and Tasci 59,56)
I dont think that justifies the 3 point difference.
In my opinion the 82 Tasci had before he was rated down were a good value. So is suggest to re-raise him to 82 in Defence.
