This season , due to some injuries of Bender , he has played almost every game as a CMF/DMF and he has done a good job there . Also , seeing that he makes 2.3 tackles and 2.7 interceptions per match , i think that his def can go up to 60 at very least . Also , he can have DMF as a position cause he can play there , not Calhanoglu who has DMF as a position but he has never played there ...

Probably deserves higher STA and Box to Box too, he's all around the field... I really can't tell which is his main position, he moves a lot.

Kampl excels at Stamina, Response & possibly Teamwork, all while being quick & agile. Does he suceed defensively because he's good at DEF or because he's so good in those other factors?
Especially considering the kind of defending he's asked to do. He's asked to run all the time: always closing down, covering & chasing, never staying in place and holding position. His tasks are more about timing, decision making & quickness than precision.

The train of thought here is similar to not giving CBs like Boateng or Tah super high DEF because they will most duels due to the combination of great speed & strength.

Not sure if Kampl would make a good CM for a coach like Lucien Favre who likes to defend passively.

Not convinced about Box to Box, but he really needs better Stamina and TW, as well as Aw 3/3.
Maybe he will be more focused in attack once Aránguiz gets back into the game, but let's see what happens then.

Really impressive CM. I'd go for DEF in 60's and yellow TW. Surprisingly good at volleys, considering he rarely exhibits good ST otherwise. Ground passes are accurate, short & slow-ish.

*CM is likely going to be his registered position from now on. He's superb at collecting the ball in deeper areas and penetrating set defenses with dribbles & one-twos, which is ultra valuable.

I never see him attempting aerial passes. I have both LPA & LPS in greens because he does not use them. I have no idea if he's good at it, though.

What about his Stamina??
I know most Leverkusen midfielders may look kinda ovepowered with those high STA values, but Kampl is a fairly athletic player and he's always focused at being useful for his side, either through adding attacking depth, generating goal chances or aiding in defensive duties for the whole 90 mins.

Dunno what concrete value to suggest though.

DEF/STA/TW look great but the passing downgrade was way too harsh, he isn't the best passer around but can be pretty incisive when he wants to.

He's a bit inconsistant in terms of short passes; he has very good ones at times but he's a bit erratic at others.
I'm not that convinced on the Agility downgrade to that extent though; 88 could have been too high, but it doesn't seem to be lower than 86 imo.

His passing looks better than this. I think spa can yellow in particular. He deserves a general passing upgrade.

Motm today against Mainz 05. It was a delight to watch him play thist match, he completely owned the midfield and controlled the game. Once he returns tohis best shape he will be a great adition to Leipzig's midfield.
