Chelsea FC discussion thread

Postby PES Stats Database » 2012 Jan 16, 00:19

Us mods, well me an evans have been "wasting" thread space talking about chelsea in general and as were meant to be against such matters from normal members, I felt a thread would be a good idea, and as the manc scum have a thread as well...

3rd place and a Europa League cup. Decent. At least we came up with something.

For neutrals, the friendly vs Manchester City was very entertaining because of the goals and also, it was fluid and non-stop. The scoreline doesn't reflect the game at all since Chelsea were outplayed all the time (16 shots for City in the 1st half alone) and Chelsea got some of their goals by good luck (Hart was awful in the 1st goal). Cech left with the headgear and Blackman entered with a blindfold and suddenly, City got 4 goals.

Friendly or not, it's just frustrating to waste a 3-goal lead. Chelsea were shambolic in midfield, Mata did outstanding as usual (he made a Laudrup-esque long pass to Cole at one point. No exaggeration), Azpilicueta scored a penalty which was awesome to see  and Marin touched the ball.

We deserved to lose.

Okay now. Chelsea have played their longest season ever (69 games), but, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and now the United States in pre-season, all in the space of probably just over two weeks? Defies belief. Utterly horrible and ridiculous management from the Chelsea board. Trying to cash-in and widen the fanbase at the expense of the players who can't catch a breather.

Just sucks being a Chelsea player at times, more so being a Chelsea fan. Forcing the fans to pay in order to watch the team TRAIN! Ugh.

I understand he's agreed terms with Madrid already. Unless that's all poppycock which it could well be. Don't see any incentive to go to Chelsea over Madrid TBF.

Cavani's father keeps saying that Real Madrid would be best place for him, but he also admitted they have never been contacted. Now, it's all about Chelsea, PSG and Manchester City, who are leading the race mainly because they're throwing Dzeko in the deal.

How the fuck have you let that happen? He's already top 3 in that league. He'll be top 3 in the world in 2-3 years.

whats wrong with it? we loan him out every year, he gets to play, another team gets a class keeper then a few years later when cech is no longer up to it, we have a ready made keeper to just step into his gloves for no cost

Čech is still class. Benching him would be a waste. Same could be said about Courtois.
