Impressed a lot in last 2 pre-season games. Nice dribble accuracy at 3:46 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrCZyvb7 ... e=youtu.be

last game he showed good pace and strength , overall had a great pre-season , I liked his passing , tech and positioning , for such a young guy he proved he is capable of playing for Barcelona 1st team , probably still little bit insecure on rare ocassions and has some questionable decisions , but he will eventually become more mature with more playing time , also he will learn a lot from guy like Puyol .

I've watched some footage of him recently... have some ideas about him, will try to post something later.

Can't understand why he isn't playing anything on FCB, specially to supply Piqué who is playing every single match. I think he's better than Fontàs, Fontàs it's more bulky but has good passing skills, Bartra is more complete than him.

because he was injured , although he should see more playing time than both mascherano and puyol when he starts playing again

I doubt it. He doesn't play because he's actually a pretty average CB with decent speed, passing skills and little else. Same with Fontás, which is a bit stronger but way slower than him (and the way they play, Barça simply can't afford slow CBs right now). There's been enough problems and criticism regarding the backline for Barça to throw an inexperienced young CB to the mix. This is what I've been using:

Spoiler: show
Name: Bartra

Club: F.C. BARCELONA
Number: 15
Position: CB*, DMF, SB
Nationality: Spanish _esp
Age: 21 (xx-yy-1992)

Foot: R

Length: 184
Weight: 75

Defence: 75
Balance: 78
Stamina: 77
Top Speed: 79

Injury Tolerance: B
Condition/Fitness: 4

S09 - Covering

Some things could be slightly higher, DEF one point or two, TS maybe to 80, Teamwork a bit higher as well, but nothing else. He could develop into a nice CB in the future but right now he's average... promising but average. People claiming he's gonna be next Barça star in youtube comments is just retarded, everybody who's watched Barça B since they were promoted to Segunda knows the CBs have always been the weakest part of the team, they are now and they were when Bartra and Fontás were still there. Current Bartra just looks like a raw, soft and more agile version of Piqué. I can understand why he isn't getting any playing time, I don't think nobody at Barça really expects him to become any short-term solution to the team's defensive issues. If he's smart he'll try to get loaned out next season.

i'm expecting barca to buy world class defender next summer , bartra still has potential , but not close to superstar . There is one defender , I think he's portuguese , came from Sporting Lisbon if I remember correctly , had major injury in first weeks at Barca , that guy can be superstar , world class defender , I've seen him few times , has similar playing style to Pepe , or prime Puyol just not as smart , he's young though , maybe 16-17y old .

On topic , i think he's bit smarter in terms of DEF and faster than 79 , dont see Pique above him in TS regards , but Bartra still has to prove this

Well I'm not sure Piqué still deserves that 83 TS we have him on... I wouldn't put Bartra over 80 in any case.

pique shows from time to time really good speed , for instance against milan last match on few occassions , but he's really bad acc wise , not even close to green for me

Cant believe they never play Bartra. Its quite amazing.. Puyol has long time injury now and you would assume its time to give Bartra his chance.

Updated. Left TS at 81 finally, it's fine.

He's good enough on aerial balls to deserve better numbers on HEA/JMP, he was one of his main assets when played for FCB B.
Scored an easy header against Málaga the past season if I'm not mistaken, but I'm sure he deserves at least high greens on HEA and jump better than Piqué.
