I can't see his ACC being over his TS. He can really be got at over short distances. With a lowering in height (if we can find something to base it on) I would have him on something like 91/89. Maybe I'm clinging onto the Clichy of the past? :|

How many times are we going to have to say that clichy isn't that quick at least he isn't quicker than traore, vela, please someone bring down clichy speed stats because the guy was clearly outpaced by nani this year and also by valero of portugal during the champions league at porto.

I would say clichy is about 90 acceleration and 91 top speed.

Am I the only one thinking his DEF should be decreased a bit?

Traore needs a raise. Over distance Gael is certainly faster than Vela, I don't think there's a contest though Vela could probably slaughter Clichy over 10-20 yards. Just on that point about him being outpaced by Nani and Varela, he'd literally just come back from being out for about 4 months and really didn't look sharp.

I could see it being a 69/70. I agree with the previous mention of a Stamina reduction to a 93. LPA and Technique can come down a touch. Curling also. I'm still unhappy about his TS going down too far but if people settle on a value I'll reluctantly agree.

I think it would be harsh to make a decrease in DEF, here. Fine, he was pretty poor at defending when he came after injury, but the same with Walcott. At the end of the seasson both played well and Clichy was very close to his normal form. I think 71/72 is fine, I still rate him a bit higher than Glen Johnson. Btw, I agree with STA 93.
I know that i don't know anything.

Dont know if this is discussed already, but is he really really this good??
His speed and stamina stats over here seems really high.
Also, according to these stats he is superfast, but he doesn't even have *dribbling.

... Come on. Look at his stats. He is superfast without and with the ball. You're telling me he doesn't like dribbling? :?
But that's not my main concern here. It just surprised me.
What I AM concerned at, is the fact if he really really is as fast as these stats say!! :o
Because this is really really fast.

That's his problem. He has the ability to dribble and is destructive when he does, he's just too hesitant to take on players.

As far as his speed and stamina go, there's been discussions for lowering them (as well as a few other areas). The problem with judging him is that he's had a couple of long-ish term injuries over the last few seasons. I've got no doubt 2/3 seasons ago he fully deserved the values but he's gone on somewhat of a decline since the 07/08 season where he was excellent. He seemed to recover some of that form at the end of last season after his return but it remains to be seen if he'll hit the same heights as back then. I would agree to a lowering of both stats but I'm still unsure of a value for TS, I still see him as being very quick (I know Paddy disagrees ;)).

Height needs to be lowered if we can make an estimated guess which would mean minor changes to some other areas. Also Defence: 70 (I'm still not fully sure though, his positioning can be suspect but his tackles are generally accurate), Stamina: 93, TS: 90/ACC: 89 (IMO), Passing stats could be tweaked a bit, Curling: 77, Technique: 80. DS could use some tweaking if a TS value is settled on.

Doesn't make *Dribbling a player to run and to tend for some dribblings? And if Clichy shows this kind, then he should get this star. But agree with deity concerning Stamina and Speed, after the long injury he lacks now a bit in quickness and the power he had before. And if we lower his height, shouldn't his body balance be raised by one point so that he have againg the same strength?

I guess I should've explained myself better. Indeed, it's more about the tendency to dribble rather than ability, which is something I don't think fits Gael. Dribbling isn't the first option he takes as his tendency leans more towards passing the ball (which is annoying), he's nearly impossible to stop when he starts flying at opposition players he just rarely does it.

I could see +1 to Balance (with a lowered height) though to be honest he's never convinced me as being overly strong or able to compete physically. With a mixture of a lowered Height + his Weight and Agility he'll be able to shield the ball well enough (which he can do) without being able to compete in a battle of pure strength. I'd have no problem keeping the current value even with a Height change ;) Agility could come down a point (possibly two).

*Dribbling makes him far too individualistic in-game - and he gets involved in team-movements less than he does with the star. Keep the STA, his speeds also, let's look at him a bit later on with a view to discussion then - if there were no age on the set i'd think him around 35 :o
And TBF, in comparisons with other speedsters, he gets involved in passing games alot more - so his speed wouldn't be shown that much, save from the overlapping run, which he has already, which is hardly discernable in a game anyways, because I think this set represents him very well, esp: the physical stats TBH :)

I'm positive he is just overrated in speed and stamina. It's just simply too much.

Still don't agree with Stamina going that low, though you already know that ;)

Main reason I'm posting is that last night seemed to confirm his Height a bit more. It's the first time I've remembered to compare him to others visually and he wasn't that much taller than Wilshere (who looks roughly 173/174 now) in the lineup, I'd say he's around the 175/176 mark but it's not easy to judge.
