So Bender is automatically CM because he's more energetic?

Way to trivialise my words.

He's an CM because he works in the central midfield a lot and he goes forward and to the flanks. (More exactly he is between DM and CM in my eyes, so he should have both.)

You can be energetic and still cover mainly the space in front of the defence (like Reinartz for example or maybe Jarolim).

Well, I've never seen him attack down the flank, but I guess I have to trust you on it. He should have both, that's obvious.

The last question I have is: what do Reinartz and Jarolim do, when their team is on possession? As far as I remember, Reinartz is more of a holding type, but Jarolim used to participate in most attacks.

He is an Enforcer which makes him go to where the ball is which is the reason he moves around so much. And he doesn't attack down any flank. He just attacks players on both flanks.

Hi, I work at Transfermarkt as a Datascout in Portugal and I feel like you need someone like me to update the data in Portuguese professional competitions.

i would say this set is still really good. He started with some problems in this season and i thought he'll have a lot problems to keep his position in the team but he came back really strong, especially how he managed his new position in the mid-season as a CB. He is a decent passer, and is able to anticipate situations really early, so this DEF/RES-Combi looks really fine for me (DEF even potential to get higher next season).
just maybe change his weight to 80kg ^^

Ok this guy is not a bad player but any mean but he is so inconsistant. Form should be reduced to 3 or even 4. TW should be reduces maybe to 75 at max, he lost a lot of placement. Is so easy to see him out of guard and position. Response seems a little high too in my eyes. He is not that responsive or a CB who anticipates everybody. I would rate his Response at 82-83, not more. Also IT should be now at B, he diddnt had any big injury current and last season.

In summary:
Response: 82-83
TW: 74-76
Form: 3-4
IT: B

His ATT should also be fairly lower. He never excelled at adding depth to the attack when he used to play as a midfielder anyway. Some good passes from deep then and then, but he was never good at being an occasional threat close to the box. Low 60s seem fair imho.

Oh yeah, that too. Agree with low 60's in ATT.

if there was anything decent left about his defending is now gone. Sadly his best years are behind him. He is no longer a reliable CB and he the kind of defender that if he is nervous he will drag his CB partner with him and that happened to Tah a lot these matches, there is just no connection with those two. Techniclly sill some decent stuff but as a defender he might be a good option for a low mid-table team than rather a team with Europe aspirations.

As I mentioned in discord, he has been very decent since th away match against Atlético Madrid in UCL, then good again against Atletico playing home and good again against Lokomotiv, not to mention a boost in his performances in Bundesliga. I won't touch the set till the end of the season to see if he can keep that level and perform better.
