Added position: AMF.

At this moment, he currently plays as AMF. Tigre plays a 3-4-2-1

Is there any better player than him in his position? Man, this guy is just freaking good...he does all good, his vision is just fantastic and his technical abilities -without overrate him- are at least 2 or 3 points better in each one tech/da. Also his passing in general and bb could use a raise...I can't believe that nobody commented before, he's SO good in this excellent team. Thoughts?

no doubt, if we had to assemble the ideal team Clausura 2012, he would be the starting CM. He evolved from a surprising way this season, is on a huge level, seems a step above the rest of the CM. He always had good technique but it was too slow to decide what to do, today is one of the most creative Argentine football, very precise, elegant play, but also help more on defense than before, meaning that CM is more complete now, excellent stamina, teamworker, dribbling accuracy, spa, and perhaps the best CM in attack zone today, even better than Erviti.

Vs. Newells.
The player of Estudiantes today.
In the first time was very concerned about covering spaces helping Braña, but always try to play like CM. His AGG could be in green for me.
In the second time, with inlet of Gelabert play like AMF, where here showed all his TEC with his amazing vision and nice SPA/SPS (SPA-->85)
Always try connecting with Fernandez carrying the yarn of attack.

Vs Quilmes. What a hell of player, he's replacing Verón in a really high level. He's so cosmethic to play, really reliable at passing and insane at technique, it's so good. His placement is certainly better as he showed in this goal. Started the gameplay with a 1st touch pass (probably one of his best attributes).
Spoiler: show

Vs Rafaela. Hell of player, really inconsistent, but meh he's the best CMF in AFA, at least most technical and scorer. 4 goals and counting, every time he scores is a nice placed goal, for sure high greens in SA. Elegant to play and great vision.
Great goal:

Vs Independiente. Damn his DS is crap, Vargas seemed even faster, wasting a counterattack.

Given a deserved update, what amazing player. His SA probably is even better, not sure though, but with 79 is fine I guess. Great great vision, shooting and technical abilities. Best CMF atm.

Vs San Martín. What amazing player, pretty overlooked by the press. Played even injured and made his team win with awesome passing skills.

damn, he has been so poor all this tournament, it is so weird to see him on a good moment, he just doesn't create nothing, his passing is very predictable, the level of danger he creates is poor, specially when he plays at AM, when he just flat out dissappear.

been rewatching some of the stuff of the previous tournament that i have recorded, focusing on him and his performance, trying to understand why he didn't found his true level, and comparing with a couple of videos from his days on tigre, and analize more deeply the reason behind his low performance.
Most of the matches that i watched were him as an AM in estudiantes 4-2-3-1 line-up, we all know him more like a CM from his days in tigre or as the second AM (together with diego morales, the "real" AM, with a tendency of been more direct), in estudiantes he plays backward, more like a rebounder to clean up the play, his passing is less direct than his tigre days, when he had "la cancha de frente", so he goes for more incisive passing game.
Currently he plays with one forward in front of him, so he's "forced" to be more aggressive and reach the box, that's imo a clear difference with his tigre days, because they have galmarini, morales (and leone from time to time) to go for the goal, adding luna and maggiolo who were the forwards to the list and you have 5 clear options of goal scoring. With this i mean that he was the clear playmaker cause he didn't need to do much else, currently he plays further up on the field, less of a playmaker and more like a roaming AM with few ball time.
Why Jorge Luna doesn't get to play as AM? Because Martinez can defend, tracks back to close spaces near the CM, and works hard, he is much more discipline to the role he gets from pellegrino, while luna is a bit more lazy, even with his defensive role, martinez always tries to reach the box, luna just tryes to be more the playmaker, so he rarely gets in the area, Also pellegrino consider him more like a wide playmaker than like a real AM.
So IMO the coach think that the team tactics is more important than the individual development of his players, Luna, Auzqui, Correa, Martinez and Damonte are IMO the ones who struggles the most with they current role, all of them are playing out of the position they fell more comfortable, it was good for them on the defensive side, but have to pay a price offensively, that's why beside been the less scored team with river (14 goals) they're also the team with more draws with arsenal (9 draws), and the fifth team with less goals converted (16 goals). Only River, Quilmes, Colon and Racing have scored less goals during the torneo inicial than them

I was watching again soem games of Estudiantes and vs Olimpo he played really bad, was very predictable and slow in his movements, as lucas said, he's forced to be more direct but all the balls that he received was backward and when try to turn, lost the ball with minimal effort from the opposing team.

Just to bump this looking for suggestions, I decreased his attack to make him a lot less dangerous as he was showing all his time in Estudiantes and decreased also his form...probably he doesn't need those levels of passing and his stamina is worse.

In some matches and comps of est in this year seems pretty high that level in def, just for my view he's ok, but no more, maybe lucas has a better view of him, also his spa seems more than decent and for i could see his sps in some occasions is pretty good but in other cases is normal, with that value in form could be right for now.
