How he is playing in Liverpool? I'm asking that because, in Brazil (at Gremio, surely), he semmed to be faster and to deserve a better mentality.

He's doing well, if you ask me.

He's in a tough position, 21, half the world away from home, battling for a place in a midfield with Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano, and Steven Gerrard. He's a long way ahead of the nearest competition (Damien Plessis and Jay Spearing), and better than those that have left since his arrival (Danny Guthrie signed for Newcastle in the summer after a very impressive loan spell with Bolton last season).

He's being played deeper than i'd like - he deputises (mostly as a sub) for Alonso/Mascherano in a 4-2-3-1, or Masch/Alonso/Gerrard when 4-4-2 - I get the impression he'd be much happier as an attacking midfielder that a holding one. He looks to have a great positional sense on him, and a good eye for the through ball, or one two pass.

Changed the Merseyside derby in our favour last season, having been contraversially subbed on for Steven Gerrard late on.

He seems to have taken a lot of criticism from soem fans this season. I'd put that more down to the pressure of being 'involved' in the title race this season, rather than any lack of quality - any slight departure from the main 13/14 players and Rafa is under scrutinty.

I think he'll be with us for a long time, simply because he's successfully looking like a jack-of-all-trades. People criticised Jamie Carragher for that for years...jack-of-all, master of none. Look at him now. I hope, and think, that Lucas will be a similar case.

People have said that, if he played for Arsenal, he'd be a lot more appreciated. I probably agree (though i'm glad he's ours :D )

Good game today from Lucas. i think he needs tweaks in his Speed and Heading.

I think he should be a tad quicker 82/83 for TS and 81 for ACC.

I also think he is pretty good in the air and 71 header doesn't reflect this well.
I suggest 75 header 78 jump.

I also think he may have got stronger, but will need to see more matches to be sure.

jackh: Thx for your explanation, man ;) . I agree with you that I prefer too saw him playing at Arsenal.
lfc 4 eva: Agree with you totally. Personally, I have his TS at 83 and Acceleration: 81, Header: 78 and Jump: 80. Agree with you that he deserves a better value in Body Balance... Maybe a 80, but I'm unsure :?:

Did you watch today's game?

The Inter game's last season too...?

I wonder whether there's a case for his SPA to increase a little - he reminds me of Dietmar Hamann in the sense that he just doesn't give the ball away. He picks it up, turns in an instant, and plays a pass, changing our angles of attack very quickly. I'd also consider reducing his SPS by a notch or two. Maybe a little rise in technique and agility to give him that impressive instant control and turn...?

His Agility could go well to 82~83, but not more, I really don't think he is more agile than Denilson. About Technique, I think maybe 84, but not more ;) .

Paddy, I'm not sure if I understand what you saying, but you saw him playing for Brazil SUB 20 NT or Grêmio? Man, this guy was simply the "bulldog" of the midfielder. I only saw him at Liverpool two times, so I can't say how he is being, but he can be surely the Brazil NT DM.

If anyone watches this guy you know how he can take over a midfield.
hes strong not afraid of a tackle and wins the ball back and creates counter attacks for his teammates.

i say defense up to 75

and SPEC in marking marking or covering. but not both.

I read in Zero Hora (Newspaper) that Lucas is getting better now at Liverpool. I really want to see this guy playing what he knows, but I think this year you'll see the real Lucas playing football ;) .

-EDITED:

Attack: 75 - (+1) - On pair with Anderson, surely.
Defence: 73~75 - (+2~+4) - Great positional sense, I'd go for the highest number.
Balance: 80 - (+2) - A bit stronger.
Stamina: 87
Top Speed: 83 - (+3) - What I can say? He's a fast DM/CM.
Acceleration: 81 - (+3) - With his Speed and Response, is what makes he good at antecipations.
Response: 81
Agility: 82 - (+2) - A bit more agile, he can turn really nice.
Dribble Accuracy: 78 - I think he deserves a bit better DA, but I'm unsure, maybe 79.
Dribble Speed: 78
Short Pass Acc.: 84 - (+1) - Like jackh, a bit better SPA.
Short Pass Spd.: 80 - (-2) - But reduce his speed, his passes aren't that fast.
Long Pass Acc.: 81 - (-1) - I don't think his long passes and crosses are that accurate.
Long Pass Spd.: 81
Shot Accuracy: 73
Shot Power: 83 - (+2) - Strong shot.
Shot Technique: 72
FK Accuracy: 72
Curling: 76 - (+2) - He can put a bit more swerve on FK, crosses and shots.
Header: 78 - (+7) - IMO his header are better than first post.
Jump: 80 - (+4 - Great leap.
Technique: 83~84 - (+1~+2) - Really nice first touch.
Aggression: 78 - (+2) - He's really aggressive, always in Attack.
Mentality: 83 - (+2) - He's a warrior, always running.
GK Skills: 50
Teamwork: 82 - I'd maintain for now, he's not the teamworker player he used to be in Grêmio and Brazil U-20.

You know it's actually pretty hard to argue with those suggestions.

Yeah i also agree except technique and dribble accuracy, 82 is spot on for his first touch and his dribbling isn't anything to shout home about.

He was battered and bruised by Stoke, he isn't the kind of player who handles aggresion. He is faster for sure. His stamina too high, i've watched him and he walks most of the time.

Header and jumping is way too low. He wins too many headers for a player of his size. Stamina should decrease to 85.

Jump and Header surely need an update.
