Trust me, I follow Genoa and I go to the stadium almost every week, I know a lot about Darko...
I respect that. I also know a lot about him, as I've watched his every single game from 2009. to 2015.
PSd should really get rid of these all rounded sets and makes every player standardized on a very good level. Players should have their strenghts and their weaknesses more highlighted
I could agree with that if you show me which part of his set should be ,,standarized" and which are his strengths/weaknesses?
Following that, I can propose a LPA upgrade. Besides my experience with Lazovic and a videos examples I've posted, as Genoa follower you should be aware of fact that Lazovic is a corner kick taker for their side over Miguel Veloso. Not just a corner kicks, he is taking every set piece for them. I don't like these kind of arguments but that's a significant fact.
Sorry but I didn't see any kind of real argument by your side except ,,I watch him every game" stuff. That's kind of stuff we used to see by Matty while he was writing us about his grandpa's descriptions of the 50's players.
I am not saying you are Matty, I actually like most of your work, just think that you are totally missing the point at this topic and that you should reconsider you thoughts about this. Believe me, everyone from Serbia have a different opinion than you on this topic. Even the people who watch Lazovic at Genoa.
On the other side, I could also follow your path and write an abstract arguments like that, simply because I've had a chance to follow him for a 6 years, but I've decided to spend a bit of my time and post a video exampled which are showing you his true qualities.
We can't judge a players on that way. Going with that logic, Cavani would get a greens for the shooting stats. Same goes with Candreva and his long passing.
You can score tap-ins with 69 SA, thing that Darko isn't even capble of.
Seems to me that you've decided not to watch my videos. If you've made a different decision and decided to give some respect to the other side, you would have an oportunity to see that quoted words are a totally wrong.
Also, how exactly we could connect statistics with the way we rate a players? Cuardado has scored 14 goals in the 130 games for Juventus and he has a green shooting stats, his SA is just one point below a current Insigne's value. I can go on his thread and based on that single fact write that his shooting stats should be nerfed to the low 70's... Just because he scored ONLY 14 goals for the top flight team like Juventus. Would I be right?
On the othwr side, Lazovic has got that value after just a couple of months spent in Serie A, a long before his 90. game. His former value was a bit too much but 60's... That's ridiculous imo.
when he started on 2015-16 he was dubbed to do the right wing on the 3-4-3 with Gasperini... but he simply wasn't capable of being an offensive winger, so from 2016 he was shifted to the midfield as wingback. Because. he wasn't. an. offensive. threat. couldn't. score. for shit.
This also isn't acually true. He did have a small chance at 15/16 season but he got a more serious oportunity in the starting 11 a couple of months after the season's started.
Also, a single fact that he didn't have so many minutes doesn't give us anything about the thing connected with his ,,ability to score". There are a plenty of factors which are affecting if the player is gonna have a minutes or not - his individual uniqueness, experience, relations with the coach, tactics, level of his team mates... I am not surprised at all with the fact that Lazovic didn't have so many minutes. Genoa's had too many quality players and I can totally understand a fact why the coach decided to put Laxalt/Suso/Cerci play instead of inconsistant guy like Lazovic.
Also, how exactly you could connect the shooting abilities with the level of danger which player brings? For another time - Lazovic is a right footed right winger, his job isn't to shot constantly. Even if he was supposed to do that, he would become a dangerous player just by making a significant amount of shots per game, even if a most of them were inaccurate... But you say that he wasn't dangerous, so I came to conclusion that he wasn't taking so many shots...
On the other side, he did that in Serbia, he's had a tendention to take an incisive runs with his left foot.
All in all, I just can't agree with you saying that he is a bad at shooting, and especially when you say that he is bad at crossing. Crossing is one of his main weapons and he is GOOD at it. A fact that he can missplace the cross or shot and some random Genoa fans are making a fun of him on a social medias with posting gifs of it, which is probably affecting on everybody's opinion in the country, doesn't say us anything.
