When is he playing SB? He need AM* as main position IMO. This is where he will play at VVV.

Updated.

My suggestions:
TS: 81
ACC: 82 (Those two stats would make him equally fast to guys like Salcido, Koenders, Arnautovic and Idabdelhay; which is fair IMO.)
DS: 82 (He's pretty fast with the ball at his feet.)
Technique: 84 (Has shown some really brilliant touches so far and rarely if ever gets his first touch wrong.)
Buon compleanno, il pibe d'oro.

Agreed.

I'd also increase his SP -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVTqs0u8sdA

How about 85?

Updated my earlier suggestions.

As for SP, it could do with a little raise but no more than 84 I think.

BB: He's quite good at shielding the ball, or so I noticed in his last three games. Seems to have gained some muscle, could do with a little raise to 79.

SPA: Can delivery quite the ball and is quite often brilliant. 82 would be an appropiate number.

Good suggestion agree with all except BB can be on 78

Disagree with DA 84/85 he got a decent dribble but he isn't that good :?

I agree to most of the suggestions going, but I'm surprised that his Team Work hasn't been raised. Honda has an excellent vision of the game and understands the movements of his team-mates, at both club level and an international level. It can be seen in the passes he performs and the space that he runs into and I reckon that he can be raised from his current 79 value.

I think that his LPS can be raised too. Yes, his crosses can be lofty, but they aren't that lofty :D Moreover, he also needs a higher LPA as his delivery from crosses, and from indirect free-kicks, is superb for a relatively young player.

His Response could do with a boost too, but this seems to be mostly due to the Eredivisie not experiencing the "Response Revolution" ;)

Oh, and he'll need an SPS increase too. He can weight a pass quite well, moreso than a 74

I'd also like to have a bit of discussion about his Mentality. He seems to be showing that typical Asian work-rate but I'm not sure what value I'd put him on :?

There's a wonderful quote from someone in a Liverpool forum on Honda:
"Never heard of him before, but i think he'd be awsome, we should definately sign him. "

Let's see. This might turn out be one of those long-ass posts again, so sit down and make sure to have a snack and a drink near.

Honda is a real playmaker, a player with the potential to well outweight the likes of Nakamura and Nakata as best player that Japan has ever known (Nakata was an absolute god btw). So far, I've been extremely impressed with his performances and I feel my previous suggestions didn't justify the abilities this guy has.

Attack: 76/77

Previously, a 73 might've been ok (keeping an eye on him as a central midfielder) but he no longer fills that role. I believe we could up this to the level of a skilled playmaker, making it a 76 or 77.

Response: 82

As earlier said by Tom, the Response Revolution hasn't quite come into the league yet. That's mainly my fault, as I am sometimes to damn lazy to update everything, but I'm trying to set it right with some players. Honda will be one of them. I'm thinking of an 82 for the Japanese player, he's fairly fast to respond to a loose ball and also knows how to put in a challenge for a ball. Just a bit above Wijnaldum would suit him fine.

Agility: 84

Keisuke is fairly skilled in dodging challenges and has a physical ability to get past a player with a sharp turn or just one movement of his lean body. He can still improve in this aspect, hence the 84.

DA: 85

Earlier, SpinaL dismissed this suggestion but I don't feel it was quite justified. Honda has a really good control over the ball, on par with Suárez without a single doubt and very close to Afellay. He's just that good in controlling a ball and it's one of those things that makes sure VVV keep the ball during a counter-attack.

SPA: 82 --> See earlier post.

SPS: 81

He can weigh in a fair piece of business with a pass and is certainly not that much less than stay Stijn Schaars, who's genuinely known as one of the best short passers in our league.

LPA: 81

Quite accurate but just a tiny bit worse than his short passing, albeit still very good. He's capable of putting in a long ball or cross.

LPS: 77

Just enough to make his crosses and long passes lofty but not superlofty. Gives them a fair bit of speed for those balls up the field.

SP: 84 --> See earlier post.

TW: 84

Again a mid-80's number for him. But he simply deserves it, being the cog of VVV's squad and the man that connect every player together. He's brilliant on the ball and with Calabro's very well timed runs is able to release the striker on goal quite easily.

The reason as to why I do not want to give him a raise in Mentality is his Defence value, really. He's already quite good at defending for a midfielder that way but won't get back to much, as he is not allowed to fall all the way back with VVV's tactics.

Suggestions re-cap:

Attack: 76/77
Response: 82
Agility: 84
DA: 85
SPA: 82
SPS: 81
LPA: 81
LPS: 77
SP: 84
TW: 84
Buon compleanno, il pibe d'oro.
